Came for the nigiri, no wonder it’s called Monster Sushi! The salmon and tuna was larger than the rice, and the rolls were at least two bites big. Great food, amazing service, very nice people. Recommended to all in Maple Valley, I drove from deep Fairwood for this!

Food was good but drenched in Unagi sauce. Service was definitely the highlight for us. Our waitress was awesome.
If you are looking for a WEIRD experience, this is the place. Its like a western BBQ joint, a sushi bar, and a jazz club melded into one. Life jaz(piano and singing), under a patio umbrella(inside) next to a lit up fountain. It’s weird, but you won’t get sick here.
Oh and the long Island iced tea was strongly poured and delicious.

Monster Sushi in Maple Valley on highway 169. Besides sushi, Korean and Chinese dishes. The owner Phil, is very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant policy is to provide several complementary dishes along with your main order. We had miso soup, kimchi, edamame, crab in broth, and scallion rolls – all complimentary. They’ve been open a month, and service was great!

Tokyo Monster literally saved our Christmas! My girlfriend and I were planning to spend Christmas in Chicago but unfortunately had to change our plans after my parents urged us to stay home after they were exposed to COVID…
Nobody wants to spend Christmas alone, so my girlfriend suggested we find a restaurant and thankfully, Tokyo Monster was open! It was our first time here after moving from Bothell, and everything was great. The owner (pictured) was very personable and attentive. I ordered sushi and my girlfriend had ramen. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the smaller, neighborhood spots I visited in Tokyo years ago and the food does not disappoint. Prices are reasonable, they have a fully stocked bar and the food is fresh! They also have pho and cooked dishes if sushi isn’t your thing.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone is so nice! The quality of fish is amazing! And I just had the best chicken teriyaki I’ve ever had!! Anyone who would give less than 5 stars is just rude!

Really an awful experience from start to finish. Not only did they get our order wrong, the quality of the food and overall experience was just terrible. First we got the chicken teriyaki which was a joke, it had about four pieces of actual chicken and was just surrounded by cheap veggies and drowning with terrible watery teriyaki sauce. I ordered a spicy tuna roll as well as A California roll, although we received two California rolls. We also ordered a fried tempura roll although it did not taste very good at all. All three rolls tasted oddly acidic and the quality of the fish was very bad. I can’t give it zero stars, so I give it a one. Also, our waitress had a hard time understanding what we wanted and the customer service was very lacking. She never came to check on us, we had to go get her but she was in the back and couldn’t hear us so the chef had to ring a bell to get her attention. just so bad please don’t go here.

Excellent dinner! My husband loved his Godzilla Sushi. I’m not a sushi fan and it’s so nice to go to a place my husband can get sushi and there’s other great choices for me. I ordered the Orange chicken, it was the best I’ve ever had. Another great plus is the owner Philip. I delightful gentleman, he treats his customers great!!!

We just had such a delicious and pleasant dining experience here. Owner and staff are very attentive, the range of cuisine is awesome — Japanese tempura. Sushi and Korean plus other varieties — combined with the portions and quality make this a sure-shot more all-inclusive dining option. Love the cool music madevit very relaxing Steady pace of clientele too. We’ll be back soon. Thank you!!
