I hate to pan a little Mom & Pop place because there can sometimes be unseen circumstances at play, but this restaurant has been steadily declining for years. From the subpar food to the dirty, cluttered dining area, there isn’t much praiseworthy to say. Although the portions are good and prices reasonable, it doesn’t matter when the food itself is poor quality. Instead of vibrant & fresh, their food tastes heavy and stale with hints of old grease throughout. Besides the food, the place would benefit from a deep cleaning. Knowing that a restaurant only smells like that when the kitchen and equipment are neglected, it’s just a shame. It could have been such a gem for the locals who love great Chinese takeout.

This place is just ok. Not worth going out of the way for, but better than McDonald’s. The egg roll was nice and crunchy, not too greasy. I ordered the general chicken extra spicy, it was barely mild. The fried rice that came with the lunch special was pretty good, seemed fairly fresh and not dried out. The inside good use a bit of a refresh, it was a little cluttered and dirty.

No saving graces at all. The lady running the kitchen takes no pride in or responsibility for her food, the child taking orders and money has the customer service capacity of Vlad the Impaler, and the plastic walls around the service counter have apparently protected the cleaning staff from noticing whatever it was that detonated in the dining area. (I suspect it was an enraged customer’s head)

Ordered:
Singapore Maifun- 1/2 filled container, no veggies, VERY little protein, and smelled distinctly of ammonia
Chicken sticks- burned to a chicken jerky consistency and somehow wet. I suspect they were submerged in water after cooking?!?
Spring rolls- the size and shape of a human thumb. Crispy outside an filled with cold wet dough.

Couldnt find a menu that was updated or clear online anywhere for dinner side. Ordered 2 orange chicken, 1 with white rice, 1 with fried rice, Sesame chicken with lomein and a Beef and broccoli with lomein, Pork egg rolls and Crab rangoon. $85 Plenty of food but threw away leftovers anyway. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were almost identical in taste and all breading. 2 meals were cold and other 2 were fine. Worst egg rolls I’ve ever had, absolutely nothing in them. Crab rangoons ok. Lomein noodles were mushy. No one answered phone so had to order in person and waited 30 minutes for food.

Great surprise on our gas stop to see a Chinese restaurant— menu was huge— definitely worth a try. Glad we did — we ordered tofu (cuipi with a not-too-sweet general tso sauce), spicy broccoli that was still good-crunchy (not flaccid and overcooked), and chicken (gongbao jiding). Excellent surprise on a freezing snow-covered December road-trip evening. The restaurant owners were kind and efficient, so we tipped well. Thank you!

Authentic Chinese!!!!!
SHE runs the grill.
HE tries to keep up.
Numbah wan San runs the register.
Numbah tooh San plays with computer toys in the back at one of two tables of toys.
And SHE definitely IS cussing him out in Kowloon(sic).

The only thing missing is the next door BODEGA with a cat in the window.

PERFECT EXAMPLE of expat Asian food establishment. A true American treasure. They ARE killing it, the number of people an hour at the takeout window is REDONKULOUS!!!

Food took a little long to get out to us, but it was delicious.

Dirty place cluttered with junk for sale on shelves. Food was at a great temperature but is just normal prepped stuff from Sysco Asia, nothing special. Service was poor. Even for ordering through plexiglass the employee was rude, short, and took ten minutes to start my order. She was instead sitting in the lobby doing paperwork. If you’re traveling (this is a travel center on I94) don’t get food here and expect it to be better than okay and quick.

The food portions and food itself are pretty good. The customer service is decent at the window. However if you try and call they will rarely answer. I had to call 10 times just to get them to pick up (this happens every time I order over the phone). It takes roughly 15-20 min for the food to be prepared from ordering to leaving.
