I got the $34.95 family takeout special meal last night. I had heard about it but never tried it or the Restaurant, but it was on my list. The family takeout was beyond expectations. Absolutely delicious more than enough food for three adults and enough to have some pasta and salad the next day..when I called to order, I had the pleasure to speak to Giuseppe I found out later he was the owner. He was extremely nice and helpful very passionate about the restaurant the food the culture and it’s high quality ingredient’s when I followed up with Maria she Couldn’t be more nicer. Jose is a server I am looking forward to meeting when I come for dinner, he’s a proud employee and a super cool part of this establishment, you can hear it in his voice.
I can’t wait to return for a sit down meal, They deserve the business. These are good people and they serve delicious Authentic high quality Italian food. FYI, the chicken parm cut like butter, they are three huge pieces meant to cut up at home we ate 1 each and it was a lot..the rigatoni vodka sauce was excellent, and the Caesar salad and the dressing to die for. Three trays for $34.95 plus tax?!!!!! you can’t beat it!! It’s soooo worth it..to not turn the stove on or go to an overpriced supermarket. Try it and thank me later!

This place is truly amazing—it takes me straight back to Italy every single time. The food is incredibly authentic, with all the pasta made fresh in-house and sauces that taste like they came straight from Italy. There’s something about the sauce in particular that instantly reminds me of what I had while traveling there. The chef is from the Amalfi Coast, and you can genuinely taste that authenticity in every bite.
This was my second visit. I came in solo for lunch this time and sat at the bar to get some work done. The atmosphere alone makes you feel like you’re in Italy—warm, inviting, and full of character. Kayla, my server, was so kind and attentive, which made the experience even better.
I ordered the Baladin Nazionale, a 100% Italian beer, and it was delicious—and reasonably priced at $6.50. Kayla also told me about the specials, and I started with what she described as an eggplant “meatball.” It was absolutely delicious, and the sauce that came with it was incredible.
For my main dish, I ordered the Rigatoni ai Funghi, and wow—it was phenomenal. The pasta reminded me so much of what I had in Italy, and everything tasted so fresh and perfectly balanced. You can really tell how much care goes into the food here.
For dessert, I had the Delizia alle Fragole. The strawberry custard was light, fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal.
I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for truly authentic Italian food from the Amalfi Coast. It’s also a wonderful spot to visit solo—everyone is genuinely welcoming and kind. Next time, I’ll definitely be trying the pizza—I’ve heard it’s amazing!
**Also, can’t forget about Bob Ross, they have playing on one of their TV 24/7, love bob ross he’s so soothing to watch! Love that they did this!

Restaurant is extremely clean, service is out of this world. The food is the only authentic Italian on the island, not the Italian American (which there is nothing wrong with) but as a guy who lived in Italy, this feels exactly like it. Everything is fresh, the staff is happy and kind, I will be coming here way more often and regret not coming here sooner. Special thanks to our server Kayla and manager Giuseppe for making us feel at home!

What a strange experience. Called ahead on New Year’s Eve and asked for a 4 pm table. They checked their reservations and said sure, 4 or 4:15 would work. We arrived and were greeted by two different people who seemed surprised we were there and told us they were preparing for the big night ahead. We were then seated and given menus. We asked some questions, ordered calamari appetizer and they brought us water….then vanished. Never asked if we wanted cocktails or soda or anything. We thought about leaving but decided to stay because we had ordered the calamari. A women dropped it off and left. Again no mention of drinks. Eventually our server returned to ask about our main dishes but we were so turned off by the entire experience. I know they were setting up for the night but then don’t take the reservation and make us feel so completely uncomfortable the entire time. We honestly felt like we were bothering them. There are so many options in Farmingdale…we’d heard good things about this place and the calamari was good but the service means we won’t be back.

I was really thrilled with the experience at Vico. The food was delicious and the variety of items we tried were so fresh and seasoned perfectly for my taste. Meatballs, the creative croquette and the pasta were great. Staff was friendly as well, but the real winner is the pricing. I feel you’d be hard pressed to find a better value restaurant anywhere in the area. Great sized portions for a reasonable price is definitely a big plus at Vico.

This was my first time at this place and I don’t think I’ll be returning. Not at all authentically Italian, much less typical of the famous Amalfi Coast. Let me explain. Upon entering, I didn’t smell the aromas of dishes or pizzas, etc., just an atmosphere that didn’t resemble the Italian environments I expected, especially considering the mention of the Amalfi Coast, which only those born there or who have spent at least a week there know what it truly means. We ordered two pizzas; the service was fine, the hostess and waitress were very kind and professional. Now, about the pizzas. Everything lacked flavor, or rather, it didn’t taste like what I expected from a “true Italian place from the Amalfi Coast or any other place described as “Italian””. The pizza dough was strange, perhaps good for something else. The sauce was tasteless, bland, perhaps not seasoned, perhaps not freshly made, I don’t know, in any case, not appropriate for something called PIZZA. Everything else put together had no flavor, no aroma, nothing to suggest ITALIAN PIZZA. No touch of oregano, for example. However, these are the manager’s choices, such as the absence of anchovies, even upon request, “no, we don’t have anchovies”. Okay, manager’s choice, but in Italy, and I’m telling you this as an Italian, anchovies are also part of the menu for pizzas and some pasta dishes. As for the Amalfi Coast or an Italian place, it was very little or nothing like it.

She knew the menu inside and out, highlighting the clean, high-quality ingredients that set Vico apart. She shared a quick, heartfelt bit about the owner’s vision of bringing authentic Italian to Farmingdale, which added a nice personal touch to the experience.

I am always looking for a good deal, and today I got a coupon for a family meal deal from Vico for $25 (down from $35). It included salad, pasta and an entree for 4 people, so we chose the garden salad, pasta a la vodka, and the chicken parm. First of all, they must be used to big appetites! We could have comfortably fed 6, and fed 8 in a pinch, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I’ll gladly get this again at $35, where it will STILL be a deal!

This spot was recommend by a friend and oh my… I owe this friend a Big thanks! From the moment we walked in the aroma and setting just bring you to another place altrove. Wonderful service. Their menu is short but sweet. Quantity>quality anyday. The croquettes were unique and delicious… I couldn’t even get a picture in time Haha. The Speck pizza was incredible- a smokey savory taste with the blend of hot honey created the perfect amount of flavor in each bite. The Fusilli a Calabrese was delicious. Like crazy delicious. The burrata mixed in created the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and creamy. Highly recommend. Drinks were great as well!! Well crafted. And like any good enjoyer del cibo Italiano knows, it’s the tiramisu that’s the true test. And boy did they pass with flying colors. Both the original and limoncello were fantastic!!

I just came back from a trip to the Amalfi coast and was dying to find something similar on Long Island and Vico was exactly that! The waiter was so genuine and nice, gave really good service and the food was very good. Pizza and the croquet were the highlights and the only note I could make is the gnocchi sorrento could have had more seasoning but I know in Italy they let the ingredients shine without a lot of seasoning so maybe that’s why. Definitely check Vico out!
