As a travel agent from Out of My Bubble Adventure’s, I found the staff at Caption Jack’s attentive, guiding my first experience. The fresh fish was hot and flavorful, despite the excessive grease and saltiness in the fries and hush puppies. The hot sauce provided a satisfying complement.

I have to say I was very surprised! It is a very innocuous eatery, you can drive right by it without noticing. But their menu is quite extensive, and the food is really really good! My wife got the seafood, or River food, lol! Catfish and some seafood, Shrimp.
I got a Philly cheese steak sandwich, interesting take on it, but it was very good. And, the fries were crispy crunchy! I highly recommend.

This is the best fish and chicken liver restaurant! Had door dash delivery both times. Portions are HUGE and food is hot and tasty!

Ordered this off Uber Eats. Paid extra for the fried mushrooms ordered onion rings did not get either of the two sides. You cannot call this location their phone does not work so the shrimp were seriously salty but that’s all the dinner I was able to get tonight or the $34 with the fee and all that other stuff. Next time I’ll just go to the drive-thru since you can’t get a human to make this right before posting this on the review. Uber refunded my dinner money but I lost out on all the other fees and tip which the driver did not deserve to lose her tip not her fault but the restaurant stand up and made this right by having a way to contact them

I went here to get snacks for my kids after work, paid for a large okra and gt a large burnt okra. I work hard for my money, whoever made my order seen this was not edible. I’ve called 6 times and no answer. I want my money back!!!

I ordered a “small” meal. The portions are very generous and I couldn’t finish it. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried crisp. The potato salad was a little sweet for my liking but still good. Generous helping of sauces as well. Staff was very friendly.

Hands down one of the best East side restaurants… Food is always fresh and good!! I can’t say enough literally. The chicken wings, fresh collard greens and gulf shrimp are good!! Only thing they are missing is a good Mac and cheese recipe and corn rolls..I don’t like how they’re stingy with the rolls; Ordered 10 wings and got one roll for me and two children. Overall menu is vast and they have perch and different kinds of fish.. Also, the inside is clean as well.. Keep up the good work Captain Jacks!!

Was in Knoxville for an event and did a search for food. Google did not fail me with Captain Jack’s. I ordered the small Cod meal with fries and greens. It was AMAZING. Best fish I have ever gotten in a restaurant of any caliber let alone a fast food place. The greens are also amazing. This will definitely be a spot I return to the next time I am in town.

This is a newer establishment, and time will tell how they do. My rating is based off of one experience. While it took a while to get the food in the drive through, and the person taking my order had to have me repeat my order several times, the food was worth the wait.
WAY better than your typical fast food fish, with the sides being the best part of the meal. The okra and French fries were just right, with the hush puppies and the tarter sauce being tasty as well.
The fish left something to be desired. It was rubbery, over cooked, but the breading was good. Even in its over cooked state, it was better than Captain D’s or Long John Silvers.
