Good small town Chinese restaurant.

I have loved eating here for 20+ years.
Some love it. Some dislike it.
We keep ordering, so we are fans.

Nothing fancy. Chicken fingers, chicken wings, chicken skewers, and crab rangoon are favorites as well as the house lo mein.

The menu photos under a red light and was not with image correcting. It came out colored like teriyaki beef – lol.

Their big pull is being a local bar that is open late. I think they are the only one. Many locals enjoy sports and beers.

New to the area, we had a coupon in a mailer and figured we would try this place out.
I ordered over the phone, made sure
to say we had a coupon for a free small crab Rangoon with a $20+ order. I accidentally ordered the wrong dish on my order and called back literally two minutes after to correct my mistake and was assured it was no problem.
Surprise, the food was picked up, the coupon was not honored, and I got the wrong food.
Also, calling it crab rangoon is a stretch, a wad of cream cheese in a greasy shell. Still ate it and the bread over the wrong meal that was supposed to be corrected.

We will not be going back. Threw the other coupon in the trash, because it is just that, trash. Save your money.

Yee village is my go to Chinese take out whenever I come home. Unfortunately tonight I was very disappointed in my order. Everything was over cooked. Boneless spare ribs I could not chew. Chicken wings were so salty I could not eat and the rice was burnt so bad I could not eat it. The beef teriyaki was horrible.Hopefully the cook just had an off night. Not giving up on you guys. Just very disappointed

They did not honor my coupon that just came in the mail and overcharged me. When I handed them the coupon, the man at the register just shrugged and repeated the same total that he had given previously. Pretty disappointed cause we are new in town and were excited to give them a try.

As someone who’s worked in hospitality for years and been to culinary school, I always approach new food spots with an open mind and appreciation for what goes into running a restaurant. I stopped by this cozy and busy little place, and right away I could tell it had a lot of potential. The atmosphere is really inviting — I could see myself hanging out here regularly if I lived in the area.
That said, I did experience a few things that I think are worth mentioning, both as a customer and a culinary professional who truly wants to see good places thrive.
I initially walked in, grabbed a menu, and waited a pretty long time without being approached to place an order. I I could tell the guy at the front was busy so I decided to go to the restroom and decided not to eat at the restaurant the music was pretty loud, but it was great music and a great vibe stepped into the restroom and came back out, still waiting sitting on the benches going over the menu, until I finally decided to head to my car and call in the order instead. The phone call. He was more helpful because I think he needed to help in the back.
ordered a small crab Rangoon — partly because of my budget, partly because I try not to eat too much fried food and cream cheese. I figured I could call back if I wanted anything else. I was glad I didn’t order from somewhere else though, as I was looking at picking up a sandwich down the street along with This thank goodness I did not. I thought no I can only eat a little. I’m so glad I ordered a small crab Rangoon. The menu online was very limited. It was difficult to order there. Nothing said there was no crab inside the crab Ragoon that it would only be a cheese filled puff, regardless I was still on a budget for what I spend in a day as I travel through the country as a content, travel content creator I was shocked whenever the guy said OK the totals about 13 bucks. Oh I said you brought me a large one. There was no misunderstandings that I ordered a small. The positives and the negatives the frustration the positive is because what was brought out to me was a very generous portion — beautiful presentation, fresh, and the crispiest, flakiest wrapper I’ve ever had on a crab Rangoon. It was seriously impressive from a texture standpoint.

However, there were some serious downsides too:
I ordered a small, but was given and charged for a large without explanation or confirmation.
I explicitly did not want a large — and wouldn’t have ordered it.
The filling was overwhelmingly cream cheese — no trace of crab, not even imitation crab, which was disappointing and frankly unappetizing.
I ended up throwing away more than half the food — not because of the portion size, but because I simply couldn’t eat it. and all it was was cream cheese
I still left a small tip ($1) despite the order error, because the staff were kind — but I was frustrated to have been overcharged.
No way on earth did I order a large it was beautiful, however, and someone who wanted a large would be very appreciative of itImentioned to the friendly man who handed me the order that it looked like a large and wasn’t what I asked for, but he was so warm and polite that I didn’t make a fuss in the moment. Still, it didn’t sit right with me to pay for more than I ordered — and not enjoy it due to a lack of a key ingredient. it’s more of a cheese puff than a true crab Rangoon — which, to me, defeats the point of the dish.
I would return the vibe and staff were lovely. But I’d double check my order and ask more specific questions .There’s a lot of potential here.I truly hope this feedback is helpful and taken in the spirit of improvement. FYI, you have a great staff working there no doubt about it. girl behind the bar was explicitly fun. Had a great vibe ,gentleman at the counter was so nice but I was shocked when he said do you want your change back after actually overcharging me and not even getting my order right
I ordered a small and felt obligated to pay for a large, which was his mistake , straight into the trash

This was the most disappointing Chinese food we’ve had in years! Overall oil sopping, no crisp to any of the PuPu items. The chop suey had very few veggies. Totally dissatisfied!

food is tasteless and the drinks were not good at all. also we got bread rolls with our food. What happened to white rice? No sweet and sour sauce and our low Mein is really really dry.

I’ve never eaten in the restaurant. I’ve also never enjoyed a drink at the Bar. However, in ordering takeout, when I go in there… I always experience great energy from the crowd that is there. Also, these guys have always given me great value for the food I order. They stuff those boxes more than full. I LOVE their chicken wings and always ask them for well done.. they do it just right. Fully cooked… crispy on the outside… but still drips when you pull a wing apart. Asked for extra pea pods on one of my orders… they didn’t charge me extra. My experience with Yee’s has been great.

This spot is very much a local townie bar with a dive atmosphere. The place feels a bit run-down, and the food didn’t impress me—it wasn’t good at all. However, if you’re in the mood for a low-key, local Chinese dive bar, this could be for you. It definitely caters to a specific crowd that appreciates that type of setting. While I probably wouldn’t come back for the food, if you’re into the dive bar experience, it might be worth checking out.
