This hole in the wall gem was mentioned to me and I was told it was much better than the well known pit beef name in Baltimore. After trying this, I 100% agree. The pit beef was amazing, tender, juicy and flavorful. The Turkey was delicious as well. We arrived a little before 11a.m. On a Friday and heard them tell the guy in-front of us that fries would be 30 mins. The wife wanted fries but it didn’t bother me, I came for the beef!

Went there after driving by for many years. Unfortunately I was not impressed. The beef was dry and not as flavorful as it should have been. The portion was decent though. Dousing the sandwich with an abundance of sauce made it better.

This place is by far the best pit beef in the area! The pit ham and turkey are delicious as well! Also one of the few places in the area that has fountain Birch Beer! My ONLY complaint is that they’re closed Sunday thru Wednesday

The pit beef was melt in your mouth delicious and the meal deal comes with a generous portion of fries. If they put some BBQ sauce in the baked beans, they would be as good as everything else was. We will definitely return.

After being newly assigned to the Essex precinct I noticed this hidden gem while on patrol one day. When I finally got the opportunity to stop by I was not disappointed.
I’ve only lived in Maryland since 2015, so I haven’t tried them all, but I will say this is the best pit beef I’ve had since moving to the East Coast.
Not only was the food excellent, but the gentlemen running the place are friendly, engaging, and really let you know how much they appreciate your patronage.
This place is definitely worth traveling to if you’re in the market for a good pit beef sandwich. The pit beef and fries are the only menu items I’ve had a chance to try, but if they put as much into the rest of the menu as the items I’ve tried, I’m sure they’re excellent.

That has a great local following. My wife and I try to stop by as often as we can.
Love the pit beef with tiger sauce and onion., and love the fries. Soo good nice and crispy as they should be, it takes a bit longer for you order but the fries are made to order not just sitting in a pile in the fryer like other places I have been to.
This is a definite must try if you want a sandwich and fries and are tired of all the fast food joints.
