Tasty food, and very excellent service. Didn’t mind that we stayed a little past closing. Wine selection was decent. Only complaint is the rolls were quite expensive. $40 for two rolls will keep repeat business down. However, the rolls were both awesome. Love to eat here more often, but the price point will prevent me from being more than an occasional diner.

A friend recommended this place for people that are normally turned off to sushi. It is absolutely incredible. I HIGHLY recommend the Famous Playboy to anybody that thinks sushi is gross. The cocktails are also amazing. I asked for a couple of drinks, but asked for a surprise. The drinks were so delicious!!!!!

Sushi was delish! Fresh and perfect proportions. Enjoyed the calamari as well. Quick, attentive service. Went a couple of years ago and wasn’t impressed but I’m glad we gave it another shot. Will definitely return!

With great sushi at a great price, this is one of our favorites. Their business was really slow when the Redline was being installed, but it has been packed recently. This makes things a little slower at times, but it’s worth the wait. And it’s good sign that this Captain Sushi could be around for years to come. Judging by the number of delivery people going through, they seem to do a strong delivery business as well.

Did not look like it was going to be a really nice place from the outside (we came in through back) but inside was very clean and had a mid-high end feel. The food and service were amazing, definitely going back. The Cajun crab bake was unexpected from a Japanese sushi restaurant but it was delicious. I would Highly recommend checking this place out.

The playboy roll is amazing. They set it on fire at your table and it can be pretty awesome. The bento box is a good value. You get a taste of everything and is inexpensive.

Good food good service. Ambiance is lacking. Need dimmer lighting at dinner. Maui roll was fab. Salad was a little watery (use a salad spinner.) Easy in, easy out and free parking behind restaurant is nice in Broad Ripple when parking is tricky and not usually free.

Ashlee(my server) was extemely friendly and very helpful! I sat there and got a glass of wine while waiting on togo food while have great conversation with the staff. The manager also made me a special dipping sauce that was very good with my sushi! They make you feel like you have known them for year! This is my new favorite sushi place!

I used to eat here once a week. Unfortunately the service has really gone downhill lately with the change of ownership and the prices have raised exponentially!!! The playboy roll used to be $14.99 and now it’s $20.99! Huge jump in price so quickly for subpar service. This used to be my favorite sushi place in town. Bummer.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. Japanese Pan Noodles are always delicious and my go to. Also Luke the hostess and Jane the server make my experience worthwhile every time. Always ask for Jane and tip that girl big!
Update: Used to be my favorite restaurant but after they lowered the prices to my favorite dishes food quality isn’t even worth it even more.
