The perfect definition of family owned dive that is so delicious. I feel ashamed that this is the first time I’ve been here. Rib tips were so tender and juicy. BBQ sauce was flame. Collard greens, don’t sleep on them bc they are good too. Mac and cheese was average. Small sitting area and meant for take away.

Very friendly service. Food was served quickly and was hot. Disappointed that I couldn’t get the beef without any sauce, but gave it a try. Far too sweet for my liking. Nothing wrong at all with the way it was prepared–just not to my taste preference. Had an order of potato wedges and those four wedges were tasty. I just wish there had been a couple more. Probably won’t go back.

Compared to Rick’s, HOMIE’S is a lot more for your money!
Sweet Sauce ranks about 4 stars out of five, but the Spicy is definitely
5 star! Very Good! Large meat portions, good meat flavor.
I will try some sides and something else next time, but
return for the RIBS. Next time with Spicy Sauce! ON IT.

We were just passing thru town searching google for a restaurant when we found Homey’s. Eating there was the highlight of our trip. We had the rib tips and 1/2 Slab. Only regret is that we didn’t order 2 or 3 full slabs to go. Cooked to perfection… Awesome!!!

First time visit to Homey’s. We had the catfish and rib tips. Both were great. The breading on the fish is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. We will be going back soon!

Awesome place to eat some just straight up good food. No frills just courteous service, fantastic prices, and you always feel welcome. I’ve lived in Terre Haute for several years now and after the first time I had Homeys I have eaten there at least 2 or 3 times a month. A must try you will not be disappointed!

This is some of the BEST bbq I’ve ever had. The sweet potato pie is so so good! Best sides you can get anywhere. Wish they were open 7 days a week but since they aren’t I try to get enough to hold me over when they are open.

Boiled pork, then soaked in sweet tomato sauce. I suppose this is okay in a pinch. But not what many BBQ folks would call good eat in “Q”. lacks depth of true smoke flavor and character. Great location, great potential to be a destination spot for Q. But not now, and not with the current recipe. Maybe will try the chicken next time….maybe. stay away from pulled pork sandwich.
