This place has a bad rap from their first rough months, but it’s not that bad as some reviews have said.
Our waitress gave us some pointers on which items are good… and they also happen to be some of the most expensive options on the menu. We followed her advice though and were not disappointed.
Their chips and salsa are a good heat; but the chips don’t stay warm enough for long and their salsa has too much cilantro in it, in my opinion.
Their meat is well seasoned and their cheese is good, but not GREAT quality.
Also, rice and beans-beans are nothing special, rice was better than average Mexican rice.
In regards to their soda issue that someone mentioned in a previous review, they figured out their soda machine and my husband (a soda snob) felt the mix was great.

If their menu prices were cheaper we could justify going here again. But there is nothing TO DIE FOR that makes me want to return ASAP.

Also-their music was a touch too loud.

Been there 3 times now since they opened. Food is pretty good. There is some hit and miss but to be expected. If you want perfection go elsewhere.
Staff is good but the last 2 times once the food is served you never see the server again.
I posted photos of what we ordered.
The Grande Burrio and Burrito Chocho are really good. The enchiladas are mid. Chimichanga did not have a crispy shell like I’m used to but it tasked good. The Quesa Birria was also mid.
Give it a try and see for your selves! It’s definitely worth it. And I can’t wait to see where they are in about 3-6months when all the kinks are worked out and they have some rhythm.
Atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Booths are more comfortable than the chairs. I love the high back booths.
The bar is not fully functional. I wanted a margarita on the rocks and they only had frozen premix and bottled beer.

Finally a Mexican restaurant in the north end of Fort Gratiot. We visited on the second night they opened. It was jammed packed! The staff was working hard and fast and doing it with a smile. The food was hot and tasted great. There is a great drink menu, but due to the restaurant just opening, not all ingredients were available to make all the drinks. The guacamole was fabulous and the prices are great. We will definitely be back.

We got the birra tacos and chimichangas! Very filling and delicious! The rice is out of this world ! Our new favorite place forsure ! Even the chips and salas were wonderful ! && my margarita was made to perfection ! Pictures don’t even do it justice but I’ll try

We liked the food for the most part (didn’t care for the flavor of the fried ice cream) and our waitress was nice. It was also really cute inside but the reason we give this a 4 is because we had to wait almost 15 minutes for her to come back and take our order after drinks. You could tell they were short staffed and that she was feeling rushed the whole time but she remained kind and helpful.

Awesome experience and even more incredible food. We had the quesa biarra tacos and burrito California with a side of cheese dip. The table came with a basket of chips and salsa, super fresh, slight kick. The food was piled high and delicious, service was spot on, our drinks were never empty. Cannot wait to return!

Our waitress despite it being her first day was awesome. My husband and I are pretty familiar with authentic Mexican food (southwest Detroit). Nothing about their food is authentic. Rice tasted stale, like it had been in a cardboard box. The beans had no flavor, what they were passing off as ground beef resembled dog food. The birria tacos were ok, not juicy. The Chile relleno was ok, but never have I had one with cheese sauce in it rather than actual cheese. Please stop using cheese sauce all together – it’s not helping. Margarita was lacking – simple lime Margarita on the rocks and they couldn’t do that right either.

Beautiful atmosphere, smells so clean as soon as you walk in Only disappointment was no bartender, out of stuff needed for a margarita listed on the menu, and just really needed a drink after a rough 60 hour shift. Luckily they are great with team work, and another employee came and satisfied my drink needs. As a dementia practioner, who has a rough job, I needed this. I highly recommend. Food 20 out of 10!
Cleanliness 100!
Friendliness 100!

Mediocre Mexican food at best. Im not a big fan of senior tequila, but this food makes them look like a star. Rice and beans are rice and beans. The street taco meat was dry. The tamale was really dry. The salsa tastes like tomatoe paste. We will not be back.
