I’ve been eating here pretty frequently since they opened. Lets face it, there are neighborhood Chinese take-outs in just about every strip shopping center anywhere you go in CLT. There are three different ones within equal distance to me, one less than half as far as CG.
But this one has always been my go-to and favorite, mainly for their chicken wings and other fried foods. Nothing ruins deep fried foods quicker than using old, dirty, burnt deep fry oil. I should know, I deep fry all the time.
I got chicken wings and egg foo young the other day and both had a terribly bitter taste of burnt oil. I ended up throwing it all away.
The reason I’m posting this publicly is to make them aware of this and fix the problem. This has happened a couple of times here over the years, but infrequently enough not to bring it to their attention. Now I am. One more time and I’ll have to go to one of the other restaurants that are even closer.

I ordered a SHRIMP and broccoli combo I received a chicken and broccoli , mind you I DONT eat meat. I traveled back to the restaurant to get a replacement after throwing out the food that I do not eat. I was given a small box of of shrimp and broccoli, no rice no sauce and was advised to use the rice from the previous platter. ARE YOU SERIOUS! I held my composure and left. If I tell them I don’t eat meat why would I want a platter that’s covered in chicken

Food was good. Paid for diner price and diner serving at 1:30pm when it said lunch special 11-3pm. I ordered Hunan chicken.

Food is not good at all. Not fresh, tastes like it has been sitting out. Had beef and broccoli. Beef tasted awful. Lo Meir was just noodles- nothing else in it. Crab rangoons were cold . Will not be returning.

Ordered beef and broccoli. No flavor and the food was almost rare. Worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. All three adults will never go back. Don’t waste your 50. The kitchen did not care.

The food was terrible especially the “fried” rice. It was the darkest fried rice I’ve ever seen and had a strange taste. The same goes for the hunan chicken, sauce tasted off as if the oil used was old or the wok not cleaned properly from prior food orders. The egg roll skin was very tough which I’m not sure how you can mess that up. If the cook is their regular they’d better off with someone preparing the food. Needless to say, it was some of the worst tasting I’ve had. To top it off, something in their food gave me diarrhea. Lastly, I found the cashier to be unfriendly and not knowledgeable about their food.
