Atmosphere is nice, although I would rather see pictures of Asia scenery on the TV rather than look at pictures of food. the waitress has too strong of an accent to understand what she is saying, which is the biggest reason I don’t like going there. The unagi sauce is a smoky flavor which I don’t really care for. I really like sushi Domo’s unagi sauce that was eel broth soy sauce, garlic, orange, brown sugar and cinnamon. It was so yummy. Unless they can improve these things. I won’t Go back.

I ordered some sushi for takeout and it was some of the most basic and underwhelming sushi I’ve ever had. Idno if they just save the good stuff for people who order inside but that’s 20 something bucks I’ll never get back. Albertson’s sushi would have been better. And to top it off I’m still hungry after two rolls 🙁

The food and service was good, I’ve ate alot of sashimi and this was good, not amazing but good. My issue was when I went into the bathroom, toilet brush on the ground next to the toilet covered in nasty broken up paper from the toilet and all around it. Light switch looks like has not been cleaned in a very long time, covered in black. Food was food but management needs to do better at cleanliness.

This quiet, and somewhat unassuming place, serves some of the freshest and tastiest sushi I have ever tasted in the Pacific Northwest. I stayed at the hotel across from it for 3 days and I ate at this restaurant twice. The first, a dinner, I ordered the “Ya” sushi platter and it came with 10 pieces of nigiri and a California roll. It was bang for your buck as the pieces were tasty, fresh, and large! I had a side of seaweed salad that complemented all thos fish pieces well. I went there again the next day for lunch and had the sublime salmon bento. The salmon, unsurprisingly, was fresh and fried with a light, tempura-like batter; it also came with a pair of dumpling and California roll. The wait staff and owner were wonderfully welcoming and checked in regularly if my food tasted good. I would come back here again when I am in Eugene.

We stumbled on this restaurant while driving past Eugene. According to Bring Fido, they were dog friendly. Turns out that no dogs were allowed. We decided to try them anyway. The atmosphere is definitely Japanese. They have a very good selection of Sake. They have an extensive sushi menu as well as sashimi, noodles, and other cooked food. We had Ikura and ama ebi nigiri, they were OK. The tonkatsu ramen broth was a little “off” as well as the tonkatsu. The nabeyaki udon was lacking proper ingredients and flavor. The restaurant was very clean and the service was very good.

Very happy to finally have found some decent Japanese food. A bit thrown off by the fact that the menu also holds Korean foods but it was also quite good. I wish more tempura was offered for the price and that my chicken had been grilled instead of mixed in sauce with veggies. But the service was really good and quick, and they were able to substitute my sushi rolls in my bento for more rice. Overall, definitely want to come back to try again!

The atmosphere was lovely. I ordered the salmon nigiri and was delighted at how fresh the fish was. I also ordered the Ton Katsu Ramen, which was good – but I would have liked it better if it had a ramen egg and no potato and zucchini, but that is pure personal preference.

My partner had the #3 lunch special – a California roll and a spicy tuna roll. He said they were both great and remarked how good they were.

I would come back for the sushi, yum!

Had a great experience here! True, you can’t compare with sushi places in the Bay Area or up in Portland, but it was a perfect treat when I made the drive from SF to Seattle. Location was convenient, service was prompt and the food was good enough. Although it was a little bit pricey, the portions were large that I walked out happily 80% full.

I recently visited Umiya Sushi and found the overall experience to be quite average. The food quality was decent but nothing special, and for the price, I expected more freshness and flavor. The menu seemed a bit overpriced compared to similar sushi restaurants in the area. Service was acceptable — the staff were polite and our food arrived in a reasonable time — but it didn’t particularly stand out. Overall, it was not a bad meal, but nothing that would make me want to return. Given the price and average quality, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I recently went in to order a 16$ roll from one of the rudest little boys ive ever met. I made an pick up order over the phone and was met with disrespect from the second i walked in to the second i walked out. For what exactly¿ its unknown… i had an awful day and was met with nasty attitude from a young boy working the front looking ridiculous at that. He told me he didnt have change for a 50$, so i went somewhere else to break my $, then returned and when i came in and handed that boy with a nasty attitude my 20$ BILL for a 16$ black widow roll he scrimmage through the cash register being slow and then CLOSED IT AND GAVE ME NO RECEIPT FOR PROOF OF PURCHASE!!!! so he could ROB ME OF MY $4 WHICH is indeed alot because it was money from a friend to treat myself after a really hard day. I needed confirmation when i got home that it was indeed 16$ roll and that that boy robbed me and knowingly did it because he told me my order price over yhe phone 20mins before i came in to order it. He was staring at me the whole time up and down, rude and condescending as if i did something wrong. I then received a half assed loose roll that was NOT WORTH 16$ LET ALONE 20$ SO THAT JUST MEANS HE TIPPED HIMSELF.
I CALLED 12/3/25 @6:19 pm and to speak to a manager or higher up and was met by him AGAIN saying he was “in charge” and no one was available but him. I called again today and same thing. I also emailed and called the owner to which no response for my full refund . So unbelievably disappointed. I used to love this place but with brats like that up front tearing down your business i will never return other then to receive my refund.
Im livid that he keeps lying to me saying the managers “only in after 4pm” ive worked food service they only work mornings i know that much. So stop lying to customers and stealing from them blindly and laughing when they call for a manager multiple times and you claim its you. Youre like 12 i highly doubt your in charge.
