This place is the absolute best. Great old school vibe, sandwiches insanely good (get their cutlet, mutz, roasted reds and balsamic and thank me later), and they are great people. Feels like one of the under assuming institutions that makes Madison special.

My partner grew up in Madison and loves this place, so when I started physical therapy down the street I stopped for a sloppy joe. Came back several times to get three varieties. Awesome sandwiches and VERY nice, accepting staff. Will always look for an opportunity to return here. Highly recommended!

Fantastic little spot with old-fashioned charm. I’m visiting from PA for work, and I was able to get in and out on my lunch break, quick and easy. Customers and staff were very friendly with one another. Good quality breakfast sandwich!!

Drove 45 minutes to pick up sloppy joes for Xmas Eve. As usual they were absolutely delicious!!! John was able to take a few minutes to make me an extra tray as we needed more than our original order.

I was working in Madison the other day, was looking to get something for lunch and I googled food near me there were a few choices. I kind of knew I wanted something like a deli sandwich. I read the review for CJ’s Deli and they were really good so I said let me go there. This place was amazing the staff the owner very friendly everyone said hello as soon as you walked in. One of the best turkey club sandwiches I’ve ever had whenever I’m in Madison that’s where I’m going for lunch
