We’ve been twice now at different times of day. It was great today at lunch. We’ve come to the conclusion that if you order as simple as possible the food is good. We liked the cheese curds both times and have decided that we like the shy burger and flat fries best. The buns are nicely toasted and the burgers are cooked well. The first time I had one of the specialty burgers; it was undercooked and the toppings weren’t very flavorful. I didn’t like the cowboy beans, but that could just be me; the bacon flavor is overwhelming and they got a little sickening. That first time was in an evening and they were very busy. We sat at a low table by the door and weren’t greeted for over 20 minutes. Today was completely different; our server was very friendly and attentive and we were greeted right away. We wanted to give them another chance because they just opened and I’m sure they’re still figuring things out. We’re happy to have a nice place in the neighborhood and hope that they’re successful.

The food never misses (10/10 recommend the Shy Burger and the Lavosh!). They have great weekly specials that are featured on their facebook page, so definitely check that out. Friendly servers and a fun more intimate bar atmosphere if you’re looking for somewhere to hang out that isn’t too big of a crowd but a fun vibe!

Been to Shy Bar twice. First time we sat at the bar on a Friday night which was busy so I get the slower service but when it takes 30 min to get a drink, sitting at the bar that’s showing the lack of service they really have.
Tried again over the lunch hour, total of 10 people in there and sat waiting to get the menus or even greeted for 5 min. Watched as the bartender sat and talked to people he knew and helping others he knew who walked in after us.
This bar will be in the long line of ones that fail at this location because their lack of service. The food was good the first time I tried it and was excited to try it again.

The bartender said my drink was 4.95$. I gave him $20, and he gave me 9.06$ back. I said “excuse me but I was supposed to get 15.05 back.” Flat out lies and says “no i gave you the correct change” ignores me and doesn’t give service to me the rest of the night. He has brown hair that goes a little past his ears, and a beard. I get we all make mistakes, but the fact that he automatically lied, and ignored giving me service the rest of the night wasn’t okay at all.

Here during a non busy day. The waitress/bartender is more preoccupied with her computer and her coffee than her customers. I had to ask multiple times for a refill on my drink. Then when I asked her she says yes came back to my table and nothing. Extremely disappointing service.

I was recommended here by family and it was a waste of money. Burgers were premade, frozen, and didn’t taste good at all. The chicken in our Mac and cheese was clearly frozen as well. The fried pickles were great. Our server came by maybe three times, I had to ask for a refill in water three times. Was super excited to come here but left disappointed.

I have gone to this place about 4 times now.
The Good: Burgers are great, but I haven’t tried all of them. I usually get boss hog Burger. Flat Fries are great maybe some of the best in town. Services has been good every time. I haven’t tried really anything else yet beside the burgers.
The Bad: One thing i can’t stand is up charge for fries. Burgers should always have fries include but instead they give you cowboys beans which are not very good. Bloody caesar come in smaller glass. I would never order Bloody caesar from here again. Like everywhere now prices are higher for burger, but it sucks when you have to pay extra for fries. 2 burgers and fries over $40 before tip.

My wife and I had Presidents Day off and stopped in. The Bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the John Wayne burger and it was phenomenal. Wife got a mushroom and Swiss burger which also was very good. One of the top burger places in Fargo. Definitely in JL Beers league. Also had Coors original on Tap which I always enjoy.
