Unfortunately, this establishment has gone downhill. I paid in cash and the worker didn’t even have change and asked me if I had a penny, I said keep the change. You ask for a napkin and they count how many they give you. The owners are super cheap and we will not be buying Rita’s from here anymore. Prices are also super high, most grocery stores carry better ice cream…

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting with students from Kennedy Krieger School, and I just have to share how amazing our experience was. The gentleman working the opening shift was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he greeted both the students and staff with such a warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely happy tone.
He went above and beyond by noticing that some of the students were having difficulties and immediately met them where they were, showing incredible patience and understanding. What really stood out was how he brought the items outside to us, making the process much easier. Unlike many people we encounter while out with the students, he never looked down on them or made them feel uncomfortable. Instead, he treated each child with the utmost respect and kindness.
It was truly refreshing to experience such compassion and professionalism. Thank you to this wonderful gentleman for making our visit so positive and uplifting!

So this was the only location open this off season. At 1:45pm I called because I needed that Green Apple Italian Ice The gentleman picked up, even though they weren’t scheduled to open until 2pm. He said yes ma’am we will have green apple today. Were on the way . The 2 gentlemen working there were very pleasant and engaging unlike a lot of places nowadays Thank you for satisfying my Italian Ice craving, even though it was 20 degrees . Yes we got enough for the weekend

There is one guy (Kyle) who works here who is super friendly. He gives you suggestions on what you may like and he always makes sure that what you are given is perfect. Recently I went and someone gave me a Reeses Mudslide that looked different than when Kyle made it. He noticed it was missing hot fudge. He remade it perfectly and added hot fudge. It is really a pleasure seeing Kyle when I go to Rita’s in the Quarry.

Update: Kyle, the store manager reached out to us. He explained that the kid who was working that night was borrowed from a different location due to a last minute call in. That kid will not be back at his location again (or possibly any location). Kyle asked us to come back in next time we were in town so he could remake our order. We arrived at about 1:30 in the afternoon, not realizing they don’t open until 2. We were returning to our car when the associate there, who happened to be Kyle although we did not know that, nor did he know who we were, invited us to come in. He explained they didn’t open until 2, so he wasn’t quite all set up yet, but he was happy to help us. He took plenty of time with us making sure we enjoyed what we ordered and letting us sample flavors. We left with a very different experience from the first time and the treats we got were all very good and well made. The treats were delicious and deserving of the recommendation we had received from family members. It was very different experience and it seems the initial visit was an unfortunate fluke. My thanks to Kyle for the excellent service and treats.
As we arrived, the only employee there was walking out and locking the door. We asked if he was closing early (it was an hour before closing). The employee said “I’m going on break”. And he was the only one there… So we waited until he returned. As we were placing our orders, he seemed to not know what he was doing and had to come out from behind the counter to see the sign in order to know how to make things.
When we recieved our order, no one thought it tasted good. The texture was terrible. We are from out of town and had been told we should try Rita’s before leaving. We are filled with regret. My kids, who have had it before have said or does not normally taste bad, so I’m left to believe it has to do with the associate who clearly had no clue what he was doing. Total waste of money, and not cheap at all. Will definitely never be back and recommend to anyone considering to not waste their time.

Excellent service and helps the community! I can’t say enough how great it was. The flavors are yummy. The service was awesome. I will definitely tell my friends and family how clean this store is. I was in the area and outside and I ordered my favorite chocolate ice cream. And I was very pleased. Rita’s of Quarry Lake was very clean. Especially at a time like this Pandemic. We need clean environments. And the people that worked there wore the mask and gloves. Thank you for being very professional. I will be back. I give this business a 5 star review!!!

The staff here is extremely nice and friendly. They have great outdoor seating for the warmer months. The location of this ritas is great. The store is clean. The ices are delicious both in the summer and the winter. They don’t have a huge selection of flavors, but they seem to always have basic crowd favorites.

Glad to have a Rita’s near me…although there doesn’t seem to be a big variety of different flavors, at least they have the staple / favorites (I’d hope!) of their customers.
Just ignore the advertising decor around the store, and the couple of tables pushed in the corner. Also, the panel advertising of “today’s flavors” is not accurate…you’ll just have to see what flavors are available in the display.
Tip: They never have unicorn flavor! 🙁
