Love it every time we order to go, or eat in the restaurant.
There’s plenty of parking next street, so that’s not a problem at all.
Love their friendly and fast service!
Small spot but the service is excellent, family friendly, and good food. Price is about what you’d expect not being too high or low, and had a really good time.
Also want to reiterate that the service was great even when it started getting packed. Kept asking if we needed anything, refilling our waters, and even gave a complementary dessert. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area again.
Limited parking but there’s also street parking if you can snag a spot. I’d say a lot of people tend to like to take up 2 parking spots, or at least they did that night…
The food and ambiance were good, and prices were generally reasonable.
However, please make sure to carefully review your detailed receipt before paying. There is a 20% service fee for parties of 5 or more, which is fairly standard. The issue is how it was calculated.
The service fee was added after tax, when it should have been calculated before tax. When I pointed this out, the waitress said it was due to their credit card system and that they had no control over it. This explanation doesn’t make sense—this is determined by how their register is set up, not the credit card system. It felt like they were avoiding responsibility and relying on customers not checking before tapping to pay. While they offered to subtract the difference if I didn’t want to pay it, that misses the point—the bill should be rung up correctly in the first place.
Additionally, one menu item was charged at a higher price than what was listed. I was told the price had been increased in their system but the menu hadn’t been updated. Again, they offered to adjust it only after I noticed. Customers should be charged the price presented on the menu, or at the very least be informed of any price changes in advance.
I understand that running a business is difficult, but this is not the right way to do it. Please fix your system and be transparent—don’t take advantage of customers who don’t double-check their receipts.
Oysters and beef tongue skewers were good. Everything else was just ok. Tastes fresh but strangely bland on the inside. All the sauces were great on the outside. Angry bird was probably the best out of the 3 we tired.
