I have came for both sushi and teppanyaki, and the teppanyaki side outshined the sushi. Overall it was mixed. Our group chose lobster, which was a bit dry and overcooked, and the fried rice at the end did not land. The star was a perfectly cooked fish with yuzu sauce. I have tried yuzu many times and it finally clicked here. The blanched, peeled cherry tomatoes brought a deep umami pop, and I would happily order more of the side dishes. A dish topped with white caviar was a rare sight in Hanoi and a nice touch.

I expected more interaction from the chef given the long course. Some light tricks or banter would add energy. I understand the language gap with an English speaking group, but a little showmanship helps. Presentation feels dated for the price but an update would make the meal more memorable.

Service is polite and precise rather than warm. If they keep the traditional style, I suggest doubling down on simple dishes done very well and explaining ingredients more. With a few tweaks, this could be a stronger teppanyaki experience. Consistent overall, and still a nice night out in Hanoi.

We found this place by accident and couldn’t be happier! The interior ist beautiful and well thought through. The staff was open, welcoming and professional. Even thought it is a high end kitchen and very luxurious, we laughed and had an amazing time thanks to our great server. The chef made amazing food with a lot of care and love. I will come back when I have a chance and can only recommend this restaurant.

No wonder it’s rating high! Good decoration of Japanese modern restaurant which located in a building. As soon as you enter door , you will definitely like it. You can choose a private room or bar seats.
Menu has 4 kinds of sets. Each courses are excellent taste and well displayed. Everything is delicious!
Definitely recommend for a good dating location!

We had an amazing experience here! While spending a few days in Hanoi, we wanted to go out for a nice, cozy dinner. This place exceeded our expectations. All the food, the atmosphere and our kindest server. While sitting at the bar, enjoying the dishes one after another, we had super nice discussions with our server. Everything was very well explained making the dinner to a whole very nice experience. The food was exceptional as well thanks to the chefs.
All in all, everything was perfect.

We could even try to do some origami!

I tried the Amaterasu course at Nuboko Hanoi, which costs 2.3 million VND. The meal started strong with beautifully presented dishes with tofu, fried chicken, and salmon roe.

It seems the impressive starter set a high bar that the following dishes couldn’t match. I found myself losing interest after the sushi, and even the wagyu felt underwhelming. The dessert was also not particularly memorable.

I believe the team has the potential to be more creative and make better use of the ingredients, given the high price.

Overall, it was still an okay dining experience, thanks to the attentive service, calm and timeless interior.

I ordered the Izanami set and really enjoyed it. The sashimi was fresh, and the fried rice was excellent. The chef was skilled and friendly, and the environment was cozy. Highly recommended!

We had the teppanyaki dinner set. Excellent cooking done by Chef Hung who explained all ingredients used for each course. Well attended by waitress Lib. Generally a quaint little restaurant with good quality beef and seafood. Even the plain garlic fried rice was delicious. Highly recommended.

Had the 3mil+ lunch set to share between 2 ppl + some a la carte orders. A delicious meal, fresh and beautifully presented. Portion could be a bit more for the price. Clean sleek modern interior design. Do wish there was more wow factor in the food!

That was an amazing experience having dinner at Nuboko.
We (me and my wife) have 2 set of Amaterasu, the food amount of the courses are just right to me, a bit too full to my wife. (You can chose wagyu or spiny lobster for main dish).
The dishes are so delicious, well-decorated. Also, the staffs are really friendly. The waitress introduced to us about the dishes, which is quite informative.
Thanks for the memorable dinner in our annivesary date!
