This place is well worth the drive. You might think it’s a dump place but it was great. The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. I highly recommend giving this place your business. It’s on the river and has really nice views.

This place has gone downhill over the years, in our opinion. The 4 of us visited on a Saturday night, only 1 other couple there. Seated right away. It was quiet, but mostly due to lack of people. Asked waitress what beer they had, and she really had no idea. That’s fine, but also very basic. Couple of us ordered the bourbon mustard chicken. It was overcooked, and not really very flavorful. Another ordered the filet, which was very overcooked. The side salads were literally shredded iceberg lettuce with some veggies. Service was pretty slow, despite not being busy. The waitress looked like the only person working the floor, making salads, seating people, etc. The view is really nice along the river, but we wouldn’t go back for the food again.

Good food. Kid had the 12oz ribeye, she said it was fatty and gristly. Wife had the 6oz petite filet, it looked more like a 12oz and she said it was perfect. I had the walleye and it was delicious, However when I cut into the tomatoes in my salad they looked rotten.

Place is great! After new ownership the driftwood is better than ever! I would recommend it to anyone in the area. It’s off the beaten path but with views of the river, people on boats of all kinds, great food, good drinks, and good staff. Will continue to go back with the wife and friends.

Food was WAY better with the new owner than it was before! The waitress, I forgot her name, was awesome. She was right there with drink refills and taking dirty dishes away. She was very attentive without bothering you. They had live music also. A guy playing his guitar and singing. He was really good. I will definitely be going back.

Small steak house on the Missouri River with absolutely great steaks. The wedge salad is huge and could be a meal in itself. I had the 8 ounce filet and it was very tender, very tasty and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent even tho the waiter had a Michigan shirt on.
Full bar of course with generous pours.
I highly recommend the short trip north of Blair to visit this gem.

The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect at a small local restaurant next to the river. Comfortable surroundings and a friendly staff. Just as importantly, the food is terrific. This is the first time that I’ve been back since Lois took over and she’s set a high bar for a small town steak restaurant.

I hate rating things 1 stars. It’s just the price didn’t come close to justifying the cost. Service was slow, 1 waitress serving the whole restaurant while 2 bartenders with no one at the bar. The owner talked to one couple right next to our table for 30 minutes and didn’t even ask how our food was. I had to steal salt & pepper, and steak sauce from other tables. The steak was on par with a clearance Walmart steak, but not for the $38 I paid. The waitress did her best but wasn’t impressed by the rest of the staff.
