It is nearly impossible to live on the vegan/vegetarian or gluten free “options” here. For veg, you’d literally get a plate of plain tofu and barbeque sauce, and salad, and for gf, probably the same. And you’ll still get sick everytime.

Got the meal plan. Worth. The variety is fantastic everyone is friendly and I get to have as much or as little as I need for the day. They also have ready to go buffet style where you can grab it or stations that have you pick out the options of whatever they have for the day. Just wish I was closer lol

I don’t have a meal plan, but regardless of not having it I kinda wish I got it. They have a wide variety of food that changes daily, not expensive and you can get a discount on Fridays for wearing crimson clothing’s!

I am giving a 1-star rating not because of the food, service, or atmosphere, but due to the policy of not allowing takeout from Taos and the fact that it is closed on weekends. I pay for my meals with grants and scholarships, yet I’m subjected to these restrictive food policies?!

Because of this, I will not be continuing with NMSU dining next semester. I would rather prepare my own meals or even grow my own food than rely on the university’s unreasonable policies.

During a week long event, it was pleasant to eat at Taos Dining Hall. They offer a wide variety of options and it was generally very good.

It’s really not bad for what you’re paying for. As a college student, it’s probably the closest thing you’ll get to a home-cooked meal. There’s not a ton of vegan/vegetarian options besides the salad bar and sometimes stir fry, but they do have some gluten free options and have a wide selection of coffees/teas, and different desserts every day. Their food isn’t spectacular, but it’s not as bad as some people say. Think of it as like the halfway point between cafeteria food and golden corral. And their soft serve is lit.
