This place has ridiculously reasonable prices! The restrooms here are also spotlessly clean.

Keep in mind that mealtimes are not flexible. Dinner starts at 4:30pm sharp, etc. I wanted a cheesesteak sub; the waitress explained they “ran out of cheesesteak meat.” I ordered a medium-rare hamburger; it arrived well-done. The chili I had ordered with provolone; it came to the table with cheddar.

Despite these shortcomings, the burger and chili were flavorful. I’d still recommend eating here since all of Main Street’s food is prepared from scratch. This is a cozy, well-decorated small town cafe where all the patrons seem to know each other.

It was an adorable, bustling little restaurant. From what I remember there are about 6-7 tables. At least 1 banquet style that could fit around 6 people, some 4 seaters, and at least 1 for 2 people. They had cobbler and pies in the glass case in the front. The waitresses were super nice. It had a very home-like feeling. Somewhere you could go regularly and feel welcome each time. It would be a perfect place to go eat for a family outing or a date like we did. They had a nice selection of food that tasted homemade.

Small, charming and homey, this local eatery offers delicious food and friendly efficient service. The sandwiches and wraps were fresh and filled with flavor and the broccoli salad made healthy taste irresistibly good. I wish I had room for some of the homemade desserts that were so temptingly displayed. We got off I-70 to try this place and it is well worth the short detour.

Good place for breakfast on the road to DC. Very popular place. The food was good unfortunately it came out cold. The waitress was very friendly. The place felt like a scene out of the Gilmore Girls.

Great service. Always a smile on their face. Love the small town atmosphere. And having a mother who was legendary for her sausage gravy and biscuits they come as close as I’ve had to that. Since my mom passed I’ve looked for good sausage gravy and biscuits. This is the place. Took two of my nephews and they raved about it. One is 10 years old. Hard to impress. They did it. My other nephew was grown ordered the chocolate chip pancakes said they were the best he’s ever had. Glad they’re open we needed a good diner.

Since moving to Taylorstown, Main St Cafe has been a go to breakfast spot. The food will easily remind you of how your mother prepared it and the prices will remind your grandmother of what she used to pay for breakfast; the meal is delicious and the prices are reasonable.

While the dining room area is on the small side, I have never had to wait whenever I have visited. Bigger parties may have to wait longer, but it is primarily a local joint. If you’re more welcome known in these parts, you’re always a friendly face at Main St. Cafe. A table up front often includes locals who all know each other rotating in and out while catching up and enjoying their meal.

Making small talk with who I recall was the owner one day, she introduced herself and we discussed local goings on when we told her we recently moved to the area. It was overall very welcoming and friendly.

I can’t encourage Those interested to get the breakfast enough. I look forward to trying the lunch. The dinner, while not tried by myself, sounds good with staple American fare. One upside or downside depending on your tech proficiency is that you have to track their dinners on their FB page (not a major complication for most!).

We stopped here randomly on our way to Ohio from NJ bc it was right off of the highway and we were so glad we did. The waitress was so friendly and the food was so good. Everything was homemade and fresh. The chicken corn chowder was ridiculously good and the rest of us got salads and a burger which were all very tasty. The sweet Italian dressing they make should be bottled and sold. I actually bought some to-go. Carrot cake is another winner! If you’re ever on that stretch of highway, you need to make the stop!!
