Hidden Baton Rouge Gem: A Culinary Delight!
I recently discovered a hidden gem in Baton Rouge that I can’t stop raving about! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the owner, a wonderfully kind and friendly person who truly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for a fantastic dining experience.
The food here is nothing short of exceptional! I’ve tried various dishes, but the shrimp Poboy has quickly become my favorite. It’s incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor, truly the best Poboy I’ve ever had! The French fries are equally impressive; they are crispy, golden, and far superior to those from fast-food chains like McDonald’s.
Each visit has been a delightful experience, and I’ve never left disappointed. If you’re looking for a place with mouthwatering food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is a must-try! Whether you’re craving a juicy hamburger or the delectable grilled shrimp Poboy, you won’t be disappointed. Don’t miss out on this Baton Rouge treasure!

First off the place was super hot inside like they don’t want to turn on the ac even though it’s 90+ outside. Ordered the 14 inch hot sausage link poboy. It tasted somewhat decent, but the sausage was not even remotely hot and it wasn’t like any link I’ve ever seen. It was more like they took patties and cut them into strips. I also got the onion rings which had absolutely zero onion in them. They tasted mostly super salty with a slight hint of onion flavor, like a fried batter ring.

Overall this spot was pretty mid. The po boy is nothing to call home about. Tiny lil shrimp that does not taste fresh at all. Service was also pretty mid id go somewhere else if ur craving shrimp…

Didn’t serve what was advertised. Rushed taking the order with no other customers around. Refused upgrading(i would pay the difference) for anything other than fries. The frien mushrooms were the size of my thimb nail and were spicy despitw being told differently (i CAN NOT have spicy food and made that clear). The po boy was put in a panini press and on Cuban bread. Despite the name of the restaurant they had 1 po boy and the rest was fried pre-made food. It took me an hour due to traffic and an accident to go 5 minutes off the interstate to only find disappointment

My folks normally eat at a Poboy when we are down there. They love it.
I’ve never eaten there before, so this time when we were there, I decided I was going to take my folks there.
The place seemed run down. Like it was a different business, and they just left it the same and put some tables in there. It seemed clean and the staff was nice
We all got Philly sandwiches, and the meat tasted funny, so I threw more away than what I ate.
There wasn’t a lot to pick from either.
My folks said the other Poboys they have had were better and have more choices.
We won’t return to this place.

I’ve been here twice. I’ve tried the shrimp poboy, philly cheese steak sandwich, the fries, the ahh-mazing onion rings and the delectable fried mushrooms. All superb. All cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Don’t let the pricing shy you away. I almost did and I’m glad I didn’t. This is the kind of local spot, just up the street or around the corner, that you’d want to stick around.

If, like myself, you sometimes feel a little homesick for Metairie and NOLA, then you’re in luck, because this place delivers on that much needed taste and feel of home. Good people, friendly and attentive service, generous portions and that combination of warmth and hospitality which can’t be taught and instantly makes you feel like family.

Call them up, place an order, stop on in and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Ordered a Philly cheese steak and told them no jalapeño. I am allergic. Well evidently they picked them out so the juice was in there. I couldn’t eat it. My daughter ordered the shrimp poboy and the shrimp still had shells on them. I will never order from there again. Bread was hard and stale.
