I recently discovered a hidden gem in Baton Rouge that I can’t stop raving about! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the owner, a wonderfully kind and friendly person who truly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for a fantastic dining experience.
The food here is nothing short of exceptional! I’ve tried various dishes, but the shrimp Poboy has quickly become my favorite. It’s incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor, truly the best Poboy I’ve ever had! The French fries are equally impressive; they are crispy, golden, and far superior to those from fast-food chains like McDonald’s.
Each visit has been a delightful experience, and I’ve never left disappointed. If you’re looking for a place with mouthwatering food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is a must-try! Whether you’re craving a juicy hamburger or the delectable grilled shrimp Poboy, you won’t be disappointed. Don’t miss out on this Baton Rouge treasure!
The hamburgers are the best I have ever had. I love the grilled shrimp Poboys as well. The service is amazing and the bread is so soft it melts in you mouth. I love the food here!!!!
I’ve never eaten there before, so this time when we were there, I decided I was going to take my folks there.
The place seemed run down. Like it was a different business, and they just left it the same and put some tables in there. It seemed clean and the staff was nice
We all got Philly sandwiches, and the meat tasted funny, so I threw more away than what I ate.
There wasn’t a lot to pick from either.
My folks said the other Poboys they have had were better and have more choices.
We won’t return to this place.
Don’t let the pricing shy you away. I almost did and I’m glad I didn’t. This is the kind of local spot, just up the street or around the corner, that you’d want to stick around.
If, like myself, you sometimes feel a little homesick for Metairie and NOLA, then you’re in luck, because this place delivers on that much needed taste and feel of home. Good people, friendly and attentive service, generous portions and that combination of warmth and hospitality which can’t be taught and instantly makes you feel like family.
Call them up, place an order, stop on in and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
