The service and staff were all super friendly and amazing. The foods we tried were all super tasty. The rolls are HUGE, the sashimi was amazing as were all of the sides and appetizers. My only regret was I ordered waaaaay too much which impaired my ability to scarf down popcorn during the movie afterwards but glad we did 🙂 Can’t wait to go back.

Pick very quiet and chic japanese restaurant in the area! It’s in a pretty nice plaza full with parking, so thats pretty easy. They do take reservations and it’s probably very helpful especially if they are busy but when we arrive wait time isn’t too long. The rib eye plate that I had had a lot of flavor and I appreciate it. The gyoza and salad with and the rice with it too. I also ordered a tempura which was also a very nice option considering the fact they have different stuff such as carrots and asparagus tempura! They have very somewhat slow surface but they are all friendly!

Staff is very friendly and attentive, the place is nice and never gets too crowded, plus the fish is super fresh and delicious. Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant by far! Only downside is it’s not all you can eat, but it’s well worth the price!

Well guess with their expansion, the quality went wayyyy down. Not ever returning. Spider roll used to be delicious and it should be for that price! But the past few times, the batter on the crab or something about it tasted like old grease. However, yesterday was the finale! The crab was like shells only. Could not chew it. I swallowed a small bit and it scratched my throat. It was cut thin and thick. There were little if any of the tiny orange balls. No big claw that makes it cute and a “spider” roll . Server was terrible, acting like it’s normal. NO IT IS NOT. Spent so much here over the years, dining there 2-4 times per months at least. Ate that hundred times. Bye forever miyabi. Wish I hadn’t sent so many folks there.

This previous inconsistent but good review below is no longer existent of this place.

Love this place for the most part. If you want quality sushi where it’s not a bunch of sauce and a mess of all you can eat, but want flavor and quality COME HERE. Best in Reno. Something to note though, one thing is there is one sushi maker that makes the rainbow roll different and not tasty. I don’t think there should be avocado on the top wrapped like the fish. Boo, too much avocado. It’s a rainbow roll, not vegan nor avocado roll. And he also used pieces that have the shiny silver type skin so it’s hard to chew and tastes different. To go food is also usually delicious and beautiful as well except someone puts mega sauce on the mt rose. It’s gross and takes away from the other delicate flavors. One dot is perfect like dining in! Consistency is missing a wee bit

I highly recommend going here. Cute, classy, clean and modern place.

So cute! Small and cozy like the description. Service was prompt and everyone was so nice. I highly recommend the Mt. Rose Roll. Prices are pretty typical, but portions are good size if not bigger

I’ve been living in Reno since 2012 and I’ve visited almost every sushi place and this is THE BEST!!!!!!! We ordered a couple of nigiri and rolls and also ramen for my kids. All of them were a great choice. The quality of the sushi here was fantastic. The fish was fresh, source makes good harmony with food, and very friendly chef and server. By looking at this picture of food makes me hungry and I’d like to visit again. Thanks for your amazing food!!!

Disappointing Dining Experience!!
I was really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, the server told us that someone would be with us shortly but we waited for what felt like over 10 minutes, and no one came. Another group walked in after us, and the hostess seated them right away without even acknowledging that we were still waiting.
When we were finally seated (in the same area where the original server was working), he checked on every other table around us but continued to skip ours. Our food arrived incomplete — the miso soup was missing, and we had to flag him down after we’d already finished our main course just to get it. Throughout the meal, he never once asked if we needed refills or how our food was. We also had to flag him down again just to get the check.
The only positive part of the visit was the salmon, which was really good. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed everything else. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Honestly one of the only places in Reno that the food brings me back to Japan. I do not do reviews often, but I loved the dining experience and food quality so much I had to share. 10/10 would recommend everyone. Quality Bluefin Tuna; shut up and take my money.

Absolutely gorgeous presentation and phenomenal flavors. After living in Tokyo for 8 years, this was a very rare gem in the middle of Reno. I ordered tonkatsu ramen with added spice(not on menu) but fantastic. Such sophisticated ambience and the eel bowl was the best I had since being back in the US. Will be coming back til we move… This is not a cheap sushi place so if you are looking for all you can eat don’t visit. This is upscale traditional restaurant that one would expect from a nice night in Tokyo. Worth the extra money.

Came in for dinner on a Friday night around 7pm and was seated right away! We had Trey as our server and he was great! Was very professional and attentive all throughout dinner! We had the Salmon Kama, Hamachi Kama, Udon, and the Crab and Avocado Salad. The Crab and Avocado salad is a MUST TRY!
