Taqueria Huentitán may be inside a gas station, but the food is fresh and delicious, the staff are friendly, and the place is immaculately clean. Great vibe, great prices — definitely worth five stars!

I get the pound Barbacoa with 8 flour tortillas feeds 3 people under $20. Service is quick. Large fresh drinks like horchata are like $5. But the place is inside a convence store so you have cheaper options .

Stayed with friends who live near by and stumbled upon this hidden gem. HIGHLY recommend if you enjoy good authentic tacos. We had breakfast tacos + pastor and the carne guisada. Everything was fantastic. If you get the carne guisada I’d get extra tortillas with my order to offer additional support for all that great meaty guisada flavor. They only take CASH too, so make sure you bring some $ (there is an ATM machine in the convenience store portion of the store.)

Absolutely amazing food at fair prices. This is actual Mexican food not Tex Mex which is a breathe of fresh air. Their red salsa has a nice kick and good flavor, but if you can’t handle spicy get the green. The staff when I visited only spoke Spanish so be prepared if you only know English, cell reception is a little spotty so big brother google may not be able to save you.
All in all a hidden gem in Kyle Texas, definitely give them a try if you get the chance.
