Oh my god. I’m genuinely blown away by this food. Felt like i was enjoying 5 star dinning and the steak was $12. Super super tasty food. Like outta the ballpark, i would give up almost any worldly item to eat this food everyday. I cook a lot and consider myself a pretty good cook, but wow does the Santiam cafe do an amazing job.
Edit: I come back a year later with some bad news. I feel this place has lost its sparkle since last year and is starting to price gouge items for more. I enjoyed the food when it was an acceptable price and the students were learning but when the mini pizzas are almost $8 and just have pepperoni and cheese and it’s kinda ridiculous. making your own ingredients makes things cheaper, coming from someone who cooks often. I cannot justify paying $4-$10 for food that has a 50/50 shot of not being very good since it’s from students. At those prices I’ll just go to a restaurant and get a meal deal. I’m disappointed in you.

Delicious lunch, prepared and served by culinary school students. Would have given five stars but there were no gluten free options. Also, my appetizer was served at same time as entree. But very good overall, can’t wait to return!
