The quality of food has gone way down. We ordered a Cesar salad – that looked horrible. It was a handful of greens, a couple croutons and several shaves of cheese. Thank God we checked it when we went to pick up – we had to ask to have some more greens added (what was presented to us looked like 1/2 a side salad). Never got any Cesar dressing for that salad. The Greek salad was missing toppings that were specifically mentioned in the menu. This has been my go to place for a few years but the past few times we have ordered – the quality and presentation is horrible.

I just got my Uber Eats order — tried Bert’s for the first time because I heard they were good.
Ordered sausage, olives, and my beloved salty anchovies on a large pizza (every topping is $3, even if it’s something dirt cheap like a handful of sliced black olives from a can — EDIT: worth noting also that if you only get a topping on half the pizza, it’s still $3. If you want *only cheese*, there’s an option on Uber Eats for “just cheese” and you HAVE to select an option… for some insane reason, that’s also $3). Got plenty of cheap canned olives, hardly any sausage, and they didn’t have anchovies (EDIT: you can bet I paid for em though — gotta love having to navigate Uber Eats help bot and upload photo evidence so I can get my three bucks back in 3-10 business days). What kind of pizza place opens for the day without anchovies on hand anyway? Have a line cook run to Hall’s Market like two hundred yards up the street and grab a couple cans or something, like seriously?
Ordered a large house salad with ranch. Salad doesn’t have the advertised carrots, but it does have a ton of raw bell peppers that I look forward to picking out. Also, they included a tiny cup of dressing for this large salad, and guess what? It’s not ranch, it’s balsamic. Thanks again, Bert.
The thing is, the pizza might be good (I mean not as good as it would have been with anchovies), but it’s not as though this place is a bargain or anything. I can get good pizza from at least five other places around here, so why would I ever order again from a place that can’t even stock advertised toppings or get a simple salad order right? The answer is… I won’t.
Oh, one more edit: they did include a side of bread! It was two wildly small slices (think like half dollar-sized, maybe slightly bigger) and one single tiny thing of butter. Just wow.

Let me begin by saying I am from Long Island, where I think we have a particular type of Italian restaurant that I don’t find often here. Yes, we have great pizza, but all the other dishes I am used to are difficult to find. I was looking for several dishes to celebrate a particular family anniversary. One of the local places had not had their regular delivery and so while looking online I found and remembered Bert’s. I called, and the very nice guy on the other end of the line was very accommodating. In fact, online, they listed they had baked ziti, but he was unfamiliar with it. I heard him talk to one of the chefs, and they immediately felt they could accommodate. I am not all that mobile and I asked about parking; this is a tiny little strip of store, but there was no problem getting a space.
Let me say that the food was simply remarkable. Shrimp scampi, with a very flavorful sauce, chicken marsala (oh, my goodness!) And the aforementioned baked ziti. Along with this was a salad and an order of garlic bread (again amazingly flavorful) and great onion rings! (Pics below).The helpful guy offered to carry my box of goodies to the car. What a wonderful find (a find for me, I think other people certainly know about this.)

NY style pie, and you can get tacos here too…. Wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The dough had good flavor and thickness, decent crisp. Good quality cheese. The sauce unfortunately was a bit acidic, and the oven wasn’t hot enough on top so the bottom cooked perfectly but the top was cooked enough. Overall I’d give another shot if I was in the neighborhood and craving a NY slice.

My very picky Dad was very very happy with the lasagna, a side order of sausage and the sauce. I got gluten free pizza with eggplant ricotta cheese broccoli and olives. I was happy because it was gluten-free and a normal size pizza. We will go there again.

My first time ordering this pizza it seemed a little undercooked but the crust was actually nice and crispy and the toppings tasted perfectly made overall the pizza was pretty good and I would like to order it again and also to try different items off the menu, the prices are fair and so far the quality is good, I have not been to this establishment as far as I remember, but ordering online was very easy and they delivered to my home it took a little bit longer than their estimate of arrival that they gave me but not that much longer, the pizza was hot when I received it which is always a good thing and the freshness was excellent, everything tasted fresh no need or warrant for exaggeration, I am not getting paid for this review I am honestly just a customer and the delivery person was very nice also.
I’m only giving it three stars because I have not tried more of the menu yet but I will update accordingly.
P.S. she (the delivery person) is a cutie!
Update: I tried more dishes, the buffalo wings, Caesar salad and the Italian sampler, the lasagna was a standout I was hoping the stuffed shells had some meat in it but along with the manicotti it was just filled with ricotta cheese topped with a whole bunch of other cheese it is a very cheesy dish that can get deliciously bland if it was not for the lasagnas the meat is so juicy and on point so flavorful, you got to get you some.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered meatballs, a pepperoni pizza, and a Sicilian pizza. The meatballs were OK, juicy and tender but baked and not cooked in the sauce. They came in a decent sauce. The pizza was ok, nice sauce, limp crust. The Sicilian was good, nice sauce also. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.1.

TT made my wait in line at the Hartford Food Festival very pleasant. When the pizza got their I was very happy I waited, cheesy, rich and great pepperoni. Very good Italian pizza but not much different than most very good Italian pizza, still, I highly recommend.

Excellent pizzas, we tried a pizza chicken, bacon and ranch and it was delicious. I didn’t know I have a really good place to eat pizza and too close to my house. The other day we tried sorentino pizza and torta I don’t know what and omg that torta was absolutely delicious I really recommend torta in the section of Mexican dishes
