The ladies at the counter weren’t that helpful and even though it’s supposed to be optional vegan or meat eggroll the woman assumed I wanted vegan. She told the other girl to give me a vegan egg roll and then I asked isn’t it optional is when she said oh yes and actually wanted the meat kind which was actually very good.
Do I have to return not really, however it’s not a terrible option. Maybe if a few hours later I didn’t keep burping the taste of the pork, which let’s me know it wasn’t as fresh.
The service was great and very understanding of all dietary restrictions and allergens. Took roughly 15 minutes to prepare the order.
However, the piece at 20$ a bowl is quite prohibitive for the volume and quality of food provided.
Order and payment is handled completely using their kiosk. You are able to select the base of your meal: banh mi, rice bowl, or vermicelli bowl (the most popular item on the menu).
I ordered a Tofu Vermicelli Bowl ($16) with soy sauce as their only vegan friendly dressing. Everything was made fresh including construction of the veggies, boiling of the rice noodles, and the tender crispy pieces of tofu. The bowl also included a vegan egg roll and together, it was hearty and filling, hitting all the spots.
This is like a food court by itself with different other vendors in the same place. I wish the seating is a bit more comfortable
