I absolutely love New Moon Vegan Bakery! The owners are some of the kindest people I’ve met — they truly care about their customers. They always take the time to talk with you, make sure you’re happy with what you’ve purchased, and sometimes even surprise you with a free pastry in your bag.
The creativity and flavor in everything they make is outstanding — every item I tried tasted like heaven. I recommend this bakery 100%!
I lived in the area for about five months for work, and every Saturday I looked forward to my treats here. Now that I’ve moved back home, I really miss it. I wish the very best to the owners and staff — thank you for making my time in Batavia even sweeter!

I’m traveling from out of town to visit family. I’ve been to more than 15 vegan establishments down south. This is by far the best. The owner was warm and friendly, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was delightful. I basically ordered one of everything to try during my stay. So far every food has been delicious!!!

Love this spot! Full of art, plants, and great vegan food and drinks. The orange flavored cinnamon rolls, rocky road cookies, and tomato focaccia bread were all delicious! Lots of savory and sweet treats to choose from. They also sell zines and have zine meet ups and seed swaps. Which was a nice surprise. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is amazing. My family and I tried 5 different kinds of baked goods in the cafe and they were all delicious (better than non-vegan, my very vegan-skeptical dad even agreed!).
I also recently ordered a cake from them for a small cocktail-party wedding celebration, and the owners were so kind and easy to work with! The cake was the talk of the party – it was delicious and so beautiful!
Cannot recommend New Moon Vegan highly enough for a quick visit or a custom order!

I absolutely love this place!
I have been to the Chicago Diner, Pig Minds, Native foods and other places that specialize in vegan offerings, and the food at New Moon is just as good, if not better. (They’re all incredible btw)
But for me, as someone who lives about an hour away or more from the mentioned locations, it was amazing finding New Moon so close to home.
From the breakfast and lunch sandwiches, to the delicious focaccia bread, and baked goods, every item I’ve had from New Moon has been absolutely delicious.
They have incredible seasonal options, and even have some Gluten free options.
The staff is awesome, and always helpful.
They do sell out of certain items sometimes so definitely recommend checking their IG or other social media to see updates from the shop (they do a great job of updating their menu and list of offerings)

We adore NMV! The owners are the kindest and most wonderful souls. It is such a warm and welcoming place. The food is amazing. I am still dreaming about this foccia I had a year-ish ago that had balsamic glaze on top. Our whole family and friends love it! There is something for everyone!

If you’re in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, I definitely recommend checking them out in Batavia!

Amazing bakery! Not only do they have delicious treats but there are so many different things to choose from- cookies, cake, focaccia, pastries, and more. Even some gluten free options (which are also delicious). Prices are very reasonable for the quality. I can’t wait to go back soon!

Amazing vegan cafe! There’s plenty of space, outlets, and snacks to spend an afternoon here working or simply relaxing. The staff was knowledgable about allergens and helped me find some tasty treats. I can’t wait to come back!

I am so glad I was able to finally visit the new bakery in Batavia. The staff was so helpful when I explained it was my first time visiting, and I was not disappointed! I had them help me, and I cannot wait to return to try out their breakfast sandwich! I went for all of their sweets this time so I can’t comment on their savory menu items quite yet, but the homemade chai the quinoa salad the focaccia pizza slices all will be on my next visit. This time around, I tried there Duffin. I also had their vanilla glazed doughnut And I was very impressed. Both donut items were delicious. They had the perfect texture and flavor component! This is definitely a place. I would want to visit again to work for an afternoon. I love that they have a rotating menu for some items and I was also happy to see they accepted cash!
