Bickerdyke Table & Tap is located on the first floor of the historic Woodward Opera House in downtown Mt. Vernon, OH. We have two separate spaces on the first floor of the building; a restaurant and a tap room. We feature 24 Ohio craft beers on tap, (including our own beer, brewed from scratch in house in small batches) and deliciously fresh food. We hope you can stop in to see us!

Bickerdyke’s is easily one of my wife’s and I’s favorite places to eat. The atmosphere is great whether you’re in the main dining room or relaxing in the tap room. They have 34 Ohio-brewed beers on tap, so there’s always something new to try, and if cocktails are more your thing, their hand crafted options won’t disappoint. I had the Urban Artifact Peristery Lemon Sour, and my wife had the Bee’s Knees cocktail, both were excellent. Everything we’ve tried from the menu has been great, but today we had the cheese curds, fish and chips, and the grilled chicken BLT, all were delicious. You really can’t go wrong with this place. They have a little bit of everything, with great food, drinks, and a vibe that’s upscale but still casual. The staff is super friendly, and the service is always timely. Highly recommend checking them out.

Bickerdyke Table & Tap has a great atmosphere and the place itself is really nice, but the experience fell short for us. The food just wasn’t very good. The potatoes were terrible and my wife couldn’t finish the salmon. For the price, we expected a lot better.
The staff was a bit unattentive. Everyone was friendly, but we had to wait quite a while to ask for anything.
Overall, it wasn’t awful, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype. Might give it another shot someday, but we left feeling pretty underwhelmed.

My family and I came to celebrate a birthday today and we had an amazing experience! The food was awesome and our server Angel was incredible. We had a big group and Angel was so attentive to everything we could have needed and made sure to ask what we were celebrating so he could bring us a dessert, we had a great time thanks to him!

Stopped here on a whim driving through, and incredibly happy we did so! I was very happy they offered GF buns for their burgers and had wonderful salads to choose from. For my husband, son, and I, we ordered the smash burger (GF) with pear salad, the chicken and waffles, and the Cuban sandwich. ALL of our meals were top notch. I can personally say it was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve had. Also we very much enjoyed the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant. We will be visiting here every time we drive through from now on.

The food was outstanding. The in house garlic aioli was phenomenal. The Reuben was fantastic. What really struck me was how prompt and professional the staff was. Outside of the superb service was the down to earth friendliness that that our waitress showed. As we were nearing the end of our meal a server from a different section stopped at the table and asked if all was good. She was polite and well spoken and very jolly. This type of service is unwavering for my wife and I. This is what brings us back to places! Thank you

A friend recommended we try this place, and we were not disappointed! For lunch, I had an delicious Mushroom & Swiss Burger with bacon and a side salad. My wife had the Banh Mi with fries. All of our food was amazing and prepared to perfection. Our waiter was attentive and our food delivered in a timely manner. Our booth was comfortable and the noise level was quiet enough for normal conversation. Just FYI: The light level is lower and provides a nice atmosphere, but my old eyes needed the flashlight on my phone to get a good look at the menu. 🙂 Five Stars!

We’re riding the OTET and had dinner here. Wow! What a great menu for cyclists with a variety of healthy snacks and entrees.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. Fantastic service!

We just got home from our dining experience this evening and it was quite frustrating. We were seated around 6:45. It took about 10 minutes before our drink and appetizer order was taken. Appetizer arrives about 10 minutes later. Drinks about 15 minutes after that. We placed our order for entrees, then sat and waited forever. Our server (Anniston?) stopped by many times and apologized for the slow service. She was the lone bright spot of the evening. At about 8:45 (2 hours after being seated), we asked if we could just have the check for the appetizer and drinks as we had a babysitter at home and needed to go. She informed us that our food had just come up and offered to box it up for us to go. My wife was hungry and started eating in the car and after a few bites of her salmon, discovered it was way undercooked and raw in the middle. This was perhaps one of the worst dining experiences we have had a a restaurant of this caliber. It was our first time there, and will likely be our last. It was not worth the $100 for sure.

Oh my goodness! THE BEST CHICKEN EVER and the panko crust is perfection. The chicken and waffles appetizer was my meal and it blew me away. Somehow they get maple sugar inside the waffles… so they are flavorful and not soggy. I loved every single bite. They also perfected the amount of spice in the sauce, not overpowering, simply outstanding. Thrilled to have this wonderful, high quality restaurant in our small town. ❤️
