Been a customer of Charlottes Rib for nearly 40 years. Although they have moved locations the food is just the same – excellent. This is a hidden BBQ secret if you are not familiar with this restaurant. They employees are family and you will certainly get to recognize them every time they are in. My favorite is their sliced beef brisket. Keep up the good work!

Best St.Louis style BBQ in the area! Family owned and operated for 40+ years and some of the friendliest people you will meet. Named after their famous grandmother Charlotte Peters.

Great food and service. I had a sampler plate of pulled pork, sliced ham and brisket. All tasty! The sides were good too, especially the chunky applesauce. We had some of their homemade pie for dessert and were not dissapointed. Combined with an informal atmosphere and reasonable prices, this is not one to pass by!

I had the brisket plate with their fries and slaw, and everything was just excellent. We were able to get extra sauce for our meat, and it was just a very good meal all around. The service was outstanding, and prompt. Overall, I have to give Charlotte’s Rib 5 stars. We will be back, again.

First time customer. Just left after eating my meal and had to write a review because of how great my food was. Opted for the smoked hot wings and baked beans. Beans were classic smoke flavor with bacon, not much heat at all (suited me just fine). The wings were phenomenal! The hot sauce is special. Can easily be identified as postmaster crafted sauce. Perfect use of lemons in the cooking process to tame the nostrils but still offer heat. Well done! I will definitely be back soon.

I thought I was back in Texas for a moment. Friendly people, great atmosphere and some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The beef brisket was tender and had a great smokey flavor. The baked beans and cole slaw were equally as good. You wont be disappointed!

Friendly, good service, nice atmosphere…it’s just too bad about the meat. “so bad and such small portions!” The restaurant smelled of smoke (a good sign), it’s just too bad it didn’t carry over into the meat.

First the good: their vinegar and sugar based coleslaw was actually pretty good, their fries were thick cut and a good example of their kind, and the salad was fresh and well made. Their iced tea (unsweetened) was good, strong and fresh.

Now the sad: I got the combo lunch plate that came with “pulled pork, brisket, and ham” I would swear, from the portion size, they were carving it out of their own children. I could almost read through the brisket (all 3 slices of it looked like they cut it on a meat slicer set to shave), the pulled pork was a good tablespoon of meat, and the ham was…disappointing.

I almost didn’t mind the portion sizes of the meat as the flavor was lacking. Neither the brisket nor the pulled pork had any real smoke flavor, no bark to speak of, and dryer than the Sahara. The ham…well…I’ve had better, more flavorful ham from the “deli” counter at Schnucks.

Nice little bbq spot. The restaurant was empty when I visited on Friday at 2PM. The waitress was very pleasant. The pulled pork sandwich and fries were excellent. I was pleased to find out they serve Pepsi products. There were trophies and awards for the ribs displayed near the front door. There is a western theme throughout the dining room. Everything was reasonably priced.

We had a long drive and decided to try some St Louis bbq and we were not disappointed. We tried the ribs, ham, brisket, chicken, bbq Sammy with fries, potato salad and finished with the blackberry cobbler. It was delicious. Lisa was great and helpful and a real pleasure to meet!!! When on a long journey it makes a big difference to be treated like you’re at home, and she did that for us. Thanks so much for a great experience!

This is by far the best BBQ in town which is saying a lot since there are some very good bbq in this town. We are so lucky for that! We have gone to their various locations for the last 30 years. BBQ sauce is great. The onion rings are awesome! I love the seasoning for the fries and rings. Even the ranch dressing is homemade and something I always look forward to.
