We had been going here for years but recently, we noticed the serving got too small- the amount of meat was reduced to 50% and they put more rice. My husband also was waiting for his order then the lady approached him again to ask if he is ready to order. The tocino also are now just slivers of meat. Definitely not happy w recent visits. They can also do better with their soups. They are so small that you might as well just go across to the pho place and get a sumptuous bowl.

Every time I come to Chowking the only thing I’ve bought is a halo-halo, their food looks delicious but I’ve never tried the food. As soon as I walk in I’m always greated with a, “hello” and a smile. The employees are always kind and courteous, you can tell they love their job and so they do a great job with customer service. Tonight Avi was so awesome in taking my order. Not only did she hear me out on my special request (no beans) she did it all while teaching an employee who was promoted to the register how to enter the order into the register. She’s great at multitasking and she had my order ready for me in two shakes of a lambs tail. My halo-halo was the best ever! Avi made it with love (she even put the extra scoop in another cup because it wasn’t gonna fit with the top on the cup) it was soo delicious it hit the spot for a hot day. She definitely made my day so much better, before I left I made sure to thank her and tell her she’s the best ever!

I went today to chowking at 8:00 pm, worker “OLIVIA” took our order, she got it wrong and gave us our order wrong, I had to drive again from home again to the restaurant to get the rest of my order, when I called she was laughing about it with the coworkers like it’s a joke, I just got home and she left a glove in our bag for the second order, the one in the picture. Noticed that the service was so slow! You need extra manpower. People were standing waiting for orders..we waited for almost 28 mins to get our take out. The cashier is also the one prepping the order and 1staff on the kitchen.

I had a very disappointing experience at Chowking National City today.
I was told the waiting time would be 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting about 35 minutes for my food. No updates were given during the delay and I had to keep checking myself.
On top of that, one of the servers named Mary Grace had an unfriendly attitude and seemed bothered when customers asked questions. Customer service should make guests feel welcomed, not uncomfortable.
I understand places get busy, but clear communication and respectful service matter. I hope management can address both the wait time expectations and staff professionalism so future customers have a better experience.

Food was great, service was okay, just long wait time but didn’t mind because food was fresh. The chicken combo is so good, and the Black Jelly drink is delicious! Only complaint is how cold the inside was. They must have the A/C on full blast, bring some layers!!!

It took almost 30 minutes for my single person meal. They didn’t mention the approximate wait time at ordering. There were 3 other customers inside. 3 togo orders that came to pick up their order. I stopped coming here more than a year ago. For the same reason. Unfortunately now the food has become bad. The food was good before. But seems like there are new people and they can’t cook. I went 3 months ago and food had an incredible amount of salt. I woke up the next day feeling very sick. Same thing now. Food too salty. If others have had a good recent experience I am happy for you. But so far for me it’s just not good at all.

Not once but a couple of times that Ms. Tammy went over and beyond her knowledge of Chowking products and her excellent customer service! I already love the food but with a variety of new entree and different types of Chicken preparation (Chinese style, popcorn, garlic chicken, etc), she has described them well. She is also on-point in guiding other staff about taking orders and monitoring timely completion of food packages. I’ve met her one time rushing in the morning for work and another on a tiring end of work night and her energy was still the same. Great with manners too over telephone order. Thank You Ms. Tammy and management.

The people here are so nice, We stopped by to get some beef mami on the way to Tijuana since my tooth is hurting. We also got some bola bola. The guy in the counter were so nice and attentive, very friendly as well. They prepared the order pretty quick and the food was also amazing! I finished it pretty good even when i was having pain on my tooth haha, thank you guys! keep up the great work. You make filipinos feel at home! Its just the AC inside is super cold!!! I was shaking lol! But other than that this spot is perfect.
