First off staff was amazing, Adam was great. Very friendly and helpful.
We went for doubles but everything looked so good let’s just say we left with double then what we were initially going to get lol
The doubles were delicious we had 3 regular and tried a goat double which was super tender. They were so soft and flavorful.
The curry crab has a good kick of spice but it was perfect and juicy. The curry shrimp Roti was nice and balance wrapped with potatoes and chana and enough for two people to share.
We were about the say that’s it but glad we spotted their patties…the beef was good but the curry chicken patty was so well spiced and the chicken nice and soft.
We took some corn soup for later which was perfect on this nice rainy day and topped everything off with 2 pieces of cassava cake which was not to sweet and the raisins gave an extra touch of sweet tang, a nice cold Solo kola champagne and their delicious peanut punch ( my new favorite). Definitely a good choice!!!

Stopped in unexpectedly for a quick bite during the week. The young man working behind the counter was so pleasant and accommodating, as I have never tried Trinidadian food.
We ordered a little of everything, and it was all so very tasty and satisfying. Each bite left me wanting more, and portions were good. Ordered the “doubles” as a final push before my stomach caught up with my head; and no regrets. Their beverages are also very refreshing and delicious.

You can smell the herbs and spices of Trinidad soon as you walk through the door. Very nice people who greet you soon as you come in. Food was fresh and hot. Curry chicken Roti was excellent. Buss up was nice and fluffy. Prices are a little bit on the high side but that’s expected because of the current economic situation right now. The lady told me more food selections are available on the weekends. Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in today to check out this restaurant. They’re very few in the area that offer Trinidadian food so I was delighted when this came up on my Google search. The food was delicious and the service was great. Unfortunately, there are no tables for dining as it is a very small establishment, but there are approximately five high stools at the front where you are able to eat. Will be returning.

The doubles was the best doubles I ever had! It was just like having them in Trinidad! Not even queens can compare to hers! We had a blast eating today. From doubles. To saltfish n bake, pastelle pie, Chinese style chicken, peppapot, sorrel and many more. Will be back again for all her delicious meals!

The food is authentic Trinidad and Tobago cuisine and is outstandingly maintained it’s taste through the family tree. As you enter, you see the grandmother’s picture who started everything and the recipes she passed on. Curry goat, curry chicken, potato stew with rice and peas and doubles roti is so delicious and filling.
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The owner is extremely generous and welcoming. She and her strike an awe with the customers as they establish a good rapport. I assume most of the customers are repeats. She recommended several items to taste as this was a first for me and offered tasting of several items. They also claim to be the only restaurant that serves their cuisine in Orange county, NYY.
Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The restaurant is a small quaint restaurant situated in a small town, however, is surrounded by Indian restaurants, Sri Lankan, grocery stores, Asian stores, and a few Mediterranean restaurants. The restaurant gives away a lot of island vibes and music is good. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is that the chairs are placed so tightly together that it’s hard to get in and out of the table to eat.
This restaurant gets an amazing 4.8⭐s. Definitely a go to restaurant and I will be back.

The food is on point, I tried some places in Queens and their food and service was nowhere close to Tasteoftrini. Believe it or not even my family agree with me. Much needed in this area. Adam is a gem.
