I recently visited Homi-ya Ramen Noodle House and my family and I loved it. I wish more people knew about this place. As we entered it was clean, quiet and the host very pleasant and detail focused to help us. My family and I ordered delicious thoughtful dishes like Chef’s special Ramen with decadent flavorful pork Chasu. Yakisoba noodles and delicious and crispy chicken katsu for the kids. Honorable mention to the homemade gyoza which was delicious and stuffed with goodness. The prices were amazing and affordable. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

I’ve eaten at a lot of Ramen restaurants in Fresno- This is one of the best. Highly recommend the beef shank Ramen- Fresh noodles, in a delicious broth- And a generous portion of perfectly cooked beef shank pieces. The fried tempura shrimp was perfect, perfectly cooked, not greasy and lightly battered and crispy. Perhaps the best tempura shrimp I’ve had in Fresno. It’s a small storefront restaurant with big flavors inside- clean and pleasant and great service.

Over the top ramen. Every variation. Amazing friendly service.
I try something new every time. The chef’s choice is great. I tried the miso kimchi today and LOVED IT! Next time I’ll try the curry broth.

It’s our second time here; their food is great, and the portions are plentiful. We had beef fried rice, combination chow mein, and goya the first time. The second time, we had katsu chicken with steamed rice, curry, and goya. Tasty and delicious! Great service, too.

I had a craving for Ramen so this was the closest location to where we were so thought we try it. The food wasn’t bad but I can taste the MSG. Later it was only confirmed as my rings got tighter and my face looked puffy. This happens only after consuming MSG. I should have asked but forgot. If you’re sensitive to MSG skip this place as there’s a lot in a bowl of Wakame Ramen. My husband had the Chicken Yakisiba and he said it was acceptable but a little oily for his liking. Some may love this but it just doesn’t meet our expectations of traditional Japanese meal. The woman taking our order and waiting on us was very nice and service was good.

I didn’t realize this ramen spot has been opened for roughly 6 years (according to the female server).
Restaurant ambience is good; food lighting and with music not too loud in the background. Granted we arrived around 4PM and there was no one in the restaurant but us before someone else walked in about 15min later. During our dining experience on a weekday (Thursday), it was just us and one other diner.
We ordered two bowls of ramen; the chef’s special ramen and the shoyu ramen, the curry fried rice, and a side of edamame.
I’m going to have to agree with some reviews in how they stated the broth was quite lacking in flavor, but thanks to the chili oil, soy sauce, and that small chili pepper flake powder on the side you can freshen up your ramen… kind of like pho, where you can customize your broth flavor a bit along the way.
That also means the ramen broth and flavor itself is honestly fairly mediocre… a 2½ or 2¾ at best for me and the missus… however, we thought the food was still quite tasty despite that, but we wanted to leave an honest review. Perhaps the chefs were different years ago.
Unfortunately the edamame came in late or with our ramen, so we took it to go.
That curry fried rice was great! A solid 4½/5.
Nevertheless, the service was still great quality stuff as the lady checked on us three times and refilled our water twice.
Would definitely come back and try the other ramen, especially the ones people have been recommending.

The ramen was ok. I ordered the green curry ramen plate and it wasn’t my favorite. The meat was eh some parts tasted good but also it was pretty fattty. It needed a little something something even after adding chili sauce and chili powder to be a must order again sometime dish. My lunch buddies didn’t find their plate that good either. Next time I would order the veggie Just to b sure. Service could have been better, especially because there was just one other table. .She never came to see how everything was and after needing more napkins for a few minutes it was fine cus we were finished and made it work one napkin each.

Visiting from Las Vegas. Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had! I got the shoyu ramen and the meat was very soft and perfectly cooked. Their chicken katsu is yummy and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. Impeccable service and big servings for low prices! The thai tea was exceptional as well. Clean atmosphere and pretty decor around!

Ramen was deliciously filling! Not sure I’ve felt that satisfied in a long time. Enjoyed a side of kimchi too, which is among the best so far I’ve had around here.
