Very quiet little place, have been here a few times.
I actually had orange chicken for the first time here, and it was wonderful. The food truly has never disappointed me.
The lady at the counter *can* come off as a little “stern” or “tired to be here”, however the faded signage and somewhat worn look of the seating to me shows that this place has been in business for a long time, so my guess is that this is all more or less ‘routine’ to her, just another day. It’s her job, and we all have been there with our own jobs, I’m sure.
As I already mentioned, the atmosphere is a little “worn” but that’s something I’ve grown up around, so to me it feels right at home. I’m on my phone so I can’t seem to find the button to add a picture but everything was wonderful.

Bad service. Called to place an order for pick up and the lady who answered the call was rude while we were thinking if there’s anything else to order. She sounded irritated which is not supposed to be. Became nicer when the order was picked up. Even if I only ordered egg drop soup, I’ve been to other good Chinese food places but they are nice people despite the language barrier.

Called to order food and the lady acted very put out and extremely annoyed to have to do her job. If it wasn’t on my way home, I would’ve said nevermind and gone somewhere else just based on that interaction. I had to repeat myself 6 times because of the language barrier. Food was hot and ready in the time she said. I ordered scallion chicken which is typically crispy (why I order it), but this was very mushy. White rice and egg roll were great. Prices are always much higher than what the menu says. I’m pretty sure she charged me for a full order (and then some) when I asked for and received a lunch order. Will keep going to Panda Panda rather than giving this place another shot. They’re friendly, fast, have good food and reasonable prices. I don’t like feeling like I’m causing someone a problem by asking them to do their job, food was subpar, and I could eat somewhere much nicer for these prices.

Went to New China for the first time tonight and it was disappointing. Service was quick but we had very minimal interaction. They did watch us while we waited for our food to be finished which felt awkward. The restaurant had a smell of old cigarettes and it just seemed dingy. The prices were high for not a lot of food and the quality was not great. It had an odd taste to it. I had the chicken lo mein. The chicken didn’t taste like chicken in the last piece I ate. I don’t believe I’ll be returning here or finishing my food.

I always come from the downtown Lexington area to this restaurant and I pass other stores like this on the way. They are the best in this area in my personal opinion. Restaurant and kitchen area is always clean and well kept. I come here often, that the lady at the counter knows what I normally get
