I gave this place a couple shots, Wish the carnitas had more depth of flavor. Theres nothing wrong with them nice and hot but the flavor wasnt there.

I’m a resident of Cicero and love having a carnitas spot down the block. They have authentic carnitas with lots of flavor and great service. I would encourage the owner to have credit card service because they only take cash. They do have an atm machine inside.

Weird exchange.
First time wanting to try out this place.
We walked in to dine-in but they just stared at us from the other end of the restaurant without greeting or saying anything. After a few minutes of just standing by the front entrance, we figured out that you need to walk up to the cash resgister.
The whole place was uncomfortably hot and CASH ONLY.
We didn’t end up staying.
I get friendlier hospitality from Dunkin than this place.
Ended doing to the Tamales place instead.

Just finished my carnitas (Rib & meat only). They were EXQUISITE. Second time I’ve visited this small place and I am convinced that there is no need to go to Chicago for an excellent carnitas. Besides the food, everyone is very attentive and they are very CLEAN throughout the whole food handling process.

Food was ok. But when I asked for 1 lb of carnitas, he kept adding more and paid over 2 lbs of random pieces of fat, skin etc when didn’t ask for it. They are not honest and that is why they get a lower review. Beware.

I love this place ! The carnitas are super delicious my husband love the menudo but make sure you show up early cause it go fast ! Great service and super homie place. And yes maybe a bit pricey but that’s everywhere now a days.
