It was my birthday and Frédéric made sure we had the most extraordinary experience.
We had the 7 course menu and my husband had the wine pairing.
We also had the extra caviar and it certainly elevated the meal even more. We were never big fans of caviar…enter Boutary, and now we are caviar converts! We certainly hadn’t tried their amazing caviar. It wasn’t only how buttery and flavoursome it was, but for sure Frédéric’s expertise made the whole difference.
Regarding dinner, what a treat! Each dish was better than the next. We love the ‘Carte Blanche’ concept, though of course you are always slightly anxious about what you’d get, but no need to worry here as the whole menu was so invenrive, the produce was so fresh, the presentation impeccable, and the taste a total delight. All hits, no misses.
Again, Frédéric’s insightful explanation and guidance made this dinner such an extraordinary and unforgettable journey.
The wines were also outstanding and F was very kind on opening a bottle of St Joseph (not usually sold by the glass) just for me, as it was a special occasion.
Chef Christophe used to work in a 3-star Michelin restaurant and it shows.
We ate so much better in Boutary than in so many 1 star or even 2 star Michelin restaurants around the world.
This place is just outstanding and a steal, as so reasonably priced, not only for Paris but especially for their quality.

Service was fantastic, everyone was educated on the dishes and polite. Caviar of the day add on is a must try since they raise their own sturgeons.

I wish fine dining restaurants would provide a menu of the meal you had to take home. It’s challenging to remember every detail, but I’ll definitely return, especially considering the reasonable price for the high-quality food.
