Mackenzie is the sweetest! Very attentive. Took care of us right away. We lost power and called ahead of time to make sure they were open and she was very friendly on the phone and in person. One of my favorite food joints to stop by at. The decorations were so cute too! Food was delicious as always.

First visit to Grant’s and I’m hooked. I’m a lifelong burger and fries snob and have a very short list of restaurants that I really enjoy their burgers and fries. Two bites into the burger ( double meat cheese ) and I knew I’d be back – probably too often ( sorry Dr R !). Fresh, hot , juicy perfectly cooked with just pickles and a delicious secret sauce in a perfect sized soft fresh bun. The fries were some of the best I’ve had. Like a perfect batch of hot McD’s fries but with a lot more flavour. Washed is down with their own draft brewed root beer. I love A&W root beer but they’re my number 2 now. The 60s diner atmosphere and music is great and the service fast and friendly – well done guys !

Could be a really nice diner if they actually put in some effort. They also charge money for ketchup and other condiments. Ive never once been to a diner where they put ketchup behind a paywall. Insane. My meal was $17 for a burger, onion rings, and a root beer.

They have settled in well. Good food, friendly staff. A little over priced for what you get but nothing as bad as a chain fast food place.
Update:
Tried them again and they have greatly improved. Hope they keep it up! Ordered a big bun again and it was not squished. Plus it was about twice the size as the first big bun I ordered months ago. Grilled cheese has also gotten larger than the tiny ridiculous things they were.

I really wanted to give this place a good review. Have been going to the Ferndale one for years. I even waited for them to work out all the bugs in their system. All the reviews that warn of the burgers being squished are sadly true. My burger was not only squished but you could count the finger prints in it… I am guessing it happened when the cook cut it in half but dang, get a sharper/bigger knife. The person at the front register had ear buds in and could not hear me or didn’t care to try. Also, FYI, their grilled cheese is super tiny so get several of them if you want it to be an actual meal. (Bite for scale 🙂 ) I really hope this place turns things around but judging from the reviews it will take them a long time to rebuild their reputation. Pictures Attached.

Grant’s will get a FIVE when they return to the original onion rings. The menus says “thick sliced sweet onion”. It’s ground onion mush… no real onion.
Removing that promise if a FIVE. My last three orders have been wrong and today I got charged for a double, received a single burger. My wife ordered fish and chips. I felt sorry for the minnows that gave their life for those fish & chips. The fish was so small that they looked like oysters. It looks like we will not be returning to Grant’s again. I have made management aware in past and received nothing as far as them making things right with us. Sorry Grants… you can do better.
