We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We each ordered a combo plate. I had the chicken soo guy and beef with mixed veggies. It also came with fried rice a chicken egg roll and a pop. Hubby ordered the szechuan chicken combo. We also ordered the hot and sour soup. All food came out quickly and piping hot. Everything tasted amazing and was less then $50 before tip. Highly recommend

Super easy to order online, and my food was ready in just 20 minutes! Everything was fresh and delicious, with an amazing variety to choose from. Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Knowing that New Years Eve is a very busy time for Chinese Restaurants, I placed my order the day before. We live 2 blocks away. When I arrived 5 minutes early they couldn’t find my order. 45 minutes later they finally came up with what was supposed to be a Deluxe Dinner for two. The soup was cold as well as the rest of the entire dinner. I have no idea what was in the bag as it all tasted the same, terrible.
We will never enter that place again. I will drive into Windsor or Amherstburg the next time I want Chinese. Stay away

We have been customers of Red Sun for at least 30 years. Our children were raised on weekly visits to the restaurant to visit Sharon. Our favourites were the hot n sour soup and the chicken or house fried rice. We were so excited to place an order for the soup and fried rice but were EXTREMELY disappointed! The hot n sour soup was bland ( tasted like a thick chicken soup….with no meat) and the fried rice was dry and had little to no flavour or chicken. Will definitely not be ordering from here again. Do yourself a favour and order from any other Chinese restaurant within a 25 mile radius.!!!! That’s what we are going to do from now on!! We Miss you Sharon!!

I have been going there since I was 16 years old went in there today and found out it was under new ownership food has changed. Got sick 15 minutes after eating the food also tried the charge $18 for a bowl of soup that was $9.00 before and said it was because the shrimp is bigger.

The RED SUN restaurant in LaSalle was acquired by the same family that owns DAN DAN Restaurant on Walker Road, and they are wonderful. The food is excellent, and they are honest and very hardworking. We love their dishes, and I’m very happy to have them here in LaSalle. I highly recommend the restaurant. Definitely five stars.

Alas, our beloved Red Sun Restaurant is no more. Roughly a month ago Red Sun was sold unbeknownst to us. We ordered expecting the same quality food that Red Sun was known for. What we received was absolutely terrible. Soggy barely cooked eggrolls, Won Ton soup which was pasty and sour, Chicken balls which were extremely doughy and greasy and porkfried rice which was coated in oil. My family and I were completely dumbfounded, what happened ? We called immediately and were told that they were sorry and that the business had just switched over and that they would replace our order. I was understanding and agreed to take them up on their offer at a later date once they got a little more experience under their belt. Flash forward to today. I called and spoke to the same man who offered to replace our order. He checked our phone number and said he would apply the “ discount “ he proceeded to say “ after taxes, that will be $62.50 “ I calmly explained to him that he promised to honour and replace our order, he flat out denied that he said that and continued to say he only offered discounts to peoples orders that were less than satisfactory during the transition. 5 eggrolls, 3 wonton soup, chicken balls and porkfried rice was $62.50 WITH a discount ? I was admittedly upset but I wasnt going to argue. I do not recommend Red Sun in Lasalle at all. Not only is the food substandard ( to say the least ) but management was misleading and dishonest. It’s not about the money, its about principal. Lesson learned. Looks like the big city mentality has come to town. I wouldn’t honestly give them a 1 ⭐️ out of five, not just on food quality but on customer service and morality. Looking for recommendations for Chinese food in the Lasalle area thx.
