The service and food here is perfection! Ive been introduced to Ecuadorian cuisine by my boyfriend so I have been to many places around the NYC and NJ area. As an American, I feel Ecuadorian food is so underrated and a MUST to add to your list! Kanoa has wonderfully done traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Best in NJ/NYC in my opinion!

Everything is good; the best encebollado in the tri-state area can be found at this place. The service is excellent, and it’s a very welcoming atmosphere to enjoy their delicious dishes.

The food here is insanely delicious. The variety and the amount of dishes they offer is amazing. Even the simplest dish is full of flavor. You can never go wrong with any of the dishes. I look forward to eating here every time I am in town.

This fairly new Ecuadorian restaurant is amazing. They offer great authentic Ecuadorian cuisine that brings you back to Ecuador with every bite. They have an amazing $13 lunch deal that includes a soup, the main dish, and a drink. Can’t go wrong with that! Absolutely delicious in every sense of the word, and I will most definitely be returning. Also, the owner and his wife are super friendly, and treat you like family – they come out and talk to their customers, and make them feel at home. Outstanding.

Wow excellent food. Excellent ambiance and the ladies taking the order were very nice and kind. I absolutely loved this. I’m very picky and this restaurant check all the boxes. Please go there hungry! You won’t regret it!!!! Amazing by the way the Encebollado and Tallarin de pollo were incredible.

I had a disappointing experience. Between the allergy issue and poor customer service!!
I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately when I started eating my ceviche, I noticed it had ketchup and mustard in it. I’m allergic to mustard and cannot eat it. It was all over the fish
When I called to explain the issue, the woman I spoke with responded dismissively, saying, “Well, you didn’t tell me you were allergic.” In my experience, Ecuadorian ceviche usually comes with ketchup and mustard on the side, or at least they ask before adding it. I wasn’t given that option here.
Instead of offering a solution, like remaking the dish or offering an exchange, she was rude and unhelpful. She eventually she said “just bring it back,” but in a very nasty tone, which made the situation worse. She could have been kind and said, “I’ll gladly change it for you,” but she didn’t. Sadly throwing it away.
I also ordered rice, and when I started eating it, I bit into something hard. it turned out to be a piece of plastic that looks like a fake nail. It’s so hard!!! Terrible. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. I’m extremely upset and disappointed.

The staff was kind, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is spacious & cleanly. Ceviche was a little watery but well portioned of ingredients mixed in. The empanada verde was a bit tough & the Colombian empanada was hallow & oily for my taste. I will definitely be back to try Other dishes tho!
