I’ve been craving a beef sando since I came back from Japan and this place totally came through for me. The pork loin katsu was so rich, fatty but not chewy at all. Perfect crispy and cabbage gave the right balance. The beef sando was the star of the show, cooked perfectly and with a light sauce to bring out the flavor. Beer and shochu options were an excellent way to round out the meal. This place serve high quality food and quick to serve their customers. I can’t wait to come back

I saw some 4-star reviews commenting on the lack of service. I have no idea what they’re talking about, as it was some of the best service I’ve ever received.

I entered the restaurant at 1pm on a Sunday and was immediately seated. A minute later, they took my order as they brought me my water. The food came out 5-10 minutes later, which was surprising given that the restaurant seemed to be at ~90% capacity.

2 different servers checked in on me within 5 minutes of receiving my food to make sure I was good (I was doing great, that katsu & rice are amazing).

I finished my food and pushed the plate away a bit, a server immediately saw and asked if I was ready to pay.

From walking in to walking out, 30 minutes total. I was super surprised at how fast, kind, and efficient the service was.

Also a very nice ambience! Reminded me of a similar katsu place I ate at once in Kyoto.

5-stars across the board for me

We ordered 3 different types of katsu. To be honest, when the waitress told us which one is which, we weren’t paying that much attention. Both pork loin and filet katsu were good, but both of us preferred the ones that softer. My daughter ordered the katsu don and they liked it. Edamame and addiction eggs were good also. We probably have to try their different location to experience variety of the menu offered.

The food was wonderful, and we had an amazing experience there. Not sure what other people are saying about the service, because we had a 5-star experience. The tonkatsu is as good as the best we’ve had in Japan, and we were treated so well the whole time we were there.

Our server (brownish hair with a hair clip) provided excellent service from the get-go, greeting us with warmth, patiently answering our menu questions, and then attentively and proactively checking up on us during our meal even though it was packed! 10/10, definitely coming back!

We went to try this new restaurant and it was a big hit with all 10 in our group. The katsu was hot and fresh and the flavors in the shrimp, chicken and pork were all good. I had mine don style which is served with a special sauce, egg and onions on top of rice and I loved it. The portions were very generous! Perfect place for parties of 2 or 10 with bottles or pitchers of beer, easy parking and amazing food! We’ll be back!

A real katsu shop with many different meat options like to katsu, hirekatsu, gyukatsu, chicken katsu, etc. I had the gyukatsu which had thick and crispy breading and very tender meat.

The shrimp is fresh but the meat is a bit overcooked. The tonkatsu with the shrimp is good and size are generous. Katsudon rice and sauce are balanced but the meat is not as good as the tonkatsu. The salad is very nice and the dressing is refreshing. The combo also comes with miso soup and two side dishes. Overall, a good portion with a reasonable size. Will try other dishes next time.

As soon as you get there before opening there’s already a line out the door. I recommend getting there 10-15 mins before opening to get in a timely manner. It’s quite a small shop but big enough to fit 20+ people. Overall if you want authentic Japanese donkatsu and curry, this place will do it for you. It reminds me of the style of midoh in Rowland Heights and it was filling enough. The curry tastes more savory and not as sweet. The Demi glacé was slightly but not by too much. Their sauce for the salad and donkatsu on the side is more of a soy thick tangy slightly sweet sauce. It also comes with shredded cabbage, pickles/marinated celery, miso soup, and fresh tofu topped with grated ginger. Would come back to try their other stuff as well.

The tonkatsu, rice, and cabbage portions taste very good and have generous portions. The tonkatsu tasted very buttery and light, while also having a crunch on the outside. The miso soup is one of the best I have had, and the curry is also very delicious. The two side dishes were decent and the service was good. Despite waiting 30 minutes to enter the restaurant, we got our food in 15 minutes; However, the place was very noisy. I would come again, but I would suggest ordering take-out as it is much easier.
