Pretty nice restaurant in the UC area, they were able to accommodate my group of 12 though the restaurant is a bit smaller. The service was good, unlike the other reviews servers came to take our order, and food was good as well.
Started off with lamb seekh kabobs which were really good, and chicken malai was ok as well. Got the chilli chicken, I think it def could have been spicier, and had more veggies than meat, but meat was good. Mango Lassi was actually nice and thick! For entrees, we got the kadai chicken, chicken curry, and goat curry, all pretty good. And I absolutely LOVED the gulab jamun with ice cream at the end.

The atmosphere was really nice calm and relaxing, with music low enough to enjoy a good conversation. We started with the fish pakora, which ended up being our favorite dish of the night. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The spicy, tangy chutney complemented it beautifully.
For mains, we ordered Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, Goat Biryani, and a mixed basket of bread. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, the meats were tender, and the breads were fresh and not too hard. I’d rate the taste a solid 8/10.
For drinks, we had tea and a mango lassi. The mango lassi was just right — not too sweet or too yogurty, with a nice mango flavor shining through. The tea was hot, aromatic, and tasted authentically Indian without any one spice overpowering the rest.
Overall, great food, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly service. I’d definitely come back!

Virasat Indian Cuisine in Union City is truly a hidden gem in the Bay Area. It’s a family-owned restaurant, and you can really taste the love in every dish. They make the most delicious, authentic dishes that taste just like home-cooked comfort food. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service that makes the dining experience feel personal and inviting. The decor is modern and aesthetic and every dish is crafted with care, making every dish perfect. Everything I’ve tried here has been amazing, but you have to save room for the falooda at the end. It’s the perfect sweet treat after a delicious meal and something I’d highly recommend. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving Indian food! If you’re looking for incredible food, top-notch service, and a welcoming vibe, Virasat is the place to be.

Tasty food and a large menu. The configuration is a bit awkward but the service is ample. Prices are standard for Indian these days. Got the garlic naan, goat biryani and a vegetable dish that was saucy and delicious. A nice spot to try out, and almost all the clientele was Indian.

The place is smaller on the inside than expected. Food is good . Ordered Dal makhani and navratan korma . Naan was a little thin for my liking.
Overall decent place with decent food.

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and always had a wonderful experience. The food is consistently delicious! I especially love the butter chicken with garlic naan.
The only thing I’ve noticed is that they usually have just one waiter working, so service can be a bit slow when it’s busy.
Overall, this place is good and I’ll definitely keep coming back!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Union City. I ended up discovering this when looking for a nearby Indian restaurant with good food options, atmosphere and ambience. And after dining here I am not at all disappointed. We tried fish pakora and chicken malai for starters. Chicken tikka masala, goat curry and bread basket for the main course. Every item was delicious with a perfect blend of ingredients and spices. The desert (gulab jamun with ice cream) was also good. Overall we had a good dining experience.
