They gave me horribly overcooked Italian herb & cheese bread that left my mouth feeling shredded from the crispy bread. I didn’t even toast the sub.
They put minimal amount of veggies other than lettuce with only 4 tomatoes and 5 cucumbers.
Lastly, the cashier rung up my sandwich as a ham sandwich with +$2 for bacon instead of as a club. That cost me more money dude!
Don’t come to this Subway. All of the others in town are much better
Because there aren’t many “quick” lunch options on this side of town, my friend and I will occasionally stop here to pick up sandwiches. Over the past 6 months, each experience has gotten worse.
Tl;dr:
Workers and management are rude and incompetent. They do not uphold the rules of sanitation and avoiding food cross contamination.
First of all, two of the workers were extremely rude. The lady adding the vegetables and such could not pay attention to the customers in front of her. She would stop mid-way through helping a customer to make a comment to the other girl (the only nice worker). She would then return her attention to the customer, direct her attention elsewhere, and became irritated when the customer had to repeat themselves because she wasn’t paying attention. This happened with multiple people. The man that is pretty much always there when I go is always super rude and also does not pay attention to what is being said to him.
Secondly, they show no true effort to prevent cross contamination. While she was wearing gloves, the rude girl was scooping rotisserie chicken, but was mostly just straight-up digging her hands in it. The scoop for the tuna was set in one of the shredded cheeses and the lady didn’t even bother to wipe it off before proceeding to scooping the tuna. There were fragments of various veggies mixed with others, which would end up on the sandwich. I kinda don’t want veggies I didn’t ask for on my sandwich, but I wasn’t about to make that lady any more mad than she already was. So, if you have any specific allergies, I would 100% avoid going to this location.
Also, my friend had made a comment about possibly not getting drinks, but had changed his mind by time we were paying. After we left, he told me that when he was there on Monday, the workers were having to put ice into the machine manually. Not so bad, right? But they were using a /cardboard box/ to transport the ice. Because cardboard boxes at completely sanitary! My friend worked in food management for at least four years and became extremely upset over this.
Anyway, these two workers provide no genuine care for their job or the customers and the place is obviously mismanaged. Needless to say, it’ll be a while before I go back.
