Let’s start by saying, very friendly owners. Was greeted with a big smile & a friendly “hi, how are you”. Very welcoming. Son (assuming) was working the front counter, who is also very friendly & accommodating. Reminds of the type people you would like to have as neighbors.
Alright, let’s get to the food! Going to keep this short & sweet (which I like doing, being that’s what most really want to know). The Pulled Chicken Sandwich is great! It’s juicy, not over seasoned, mix of thigh & breast, topped with their BBQ sauce & coleslaw! What more do you want? Exactly, nothing! Perfect just the way it is. Nothing over the top, nor gimmicky. I truly like this pulled chicken sandwich! The Fried Raviolis are also good, nice app to add. Looking forward to trying their Tri-Tip sandwich, hopefully it’s as good!
All in all: Very friendly service, great food, small menu, comfortable ambiance.
Will definitely become among my favorite places here in Morro Bay.
Cheese Burger and Tots. The Tots were crispy and seasoned perfectly. The cheese burger was big and it was nice and juicy with a lot of flavor. You also have to try their Fried Green Tomatoes with their ranch dip!!! So delicious!! This is our new spot! Thank you Savory Smoke!!!
Decided to stop by while passing through town and wanting to try something new.
Was met by the owners son who was the kindest guy ever! Extremely welcoming and made sure we loved our meal.
Decided to try the tri tip and it was absolutely perfect. Perfectly smoky where you can taste it before you eat it but not overpowering.
Amazing bbq sauce to go along with it and one of the best rolls / buns I’ve ever had.
Highly recommend this spot!
Bun is very soft and well toasted, very nice.
Tater tots need $2 extra, but it is perfectly made; thick but very crunchy crust, and not oily at oil.
Tri tip, very generous portion as visible in the picture, and its very soft and tender. However, I find it neither beefy nor juicy enough. If the beef can be juicier, or a bit more sauce is added to the sandwich, it would be a more satisfying bite, at the moment the sandwich is on the drier side. Some veggies in it may help?
Service is great, all staff are very friendly, and I received my sandwich very quickly.
Atmosphere is good, xmas decorations are up already. They are mostly high chairs, more lower ones would be more comfortable.
