The okra soup is smooth and perfectly salty. Both soups were beyond delicious. They were a bit spicy and manageable and the spice didnt linger. We had a little yogurt on the side at home and it was perfect. We will be going back often! What a gem for the neighborhood!
My husband ordered the jollof rice with a side of goat meat. I ordered the chicken stew with fufu and a side of plantains. The food was delicious, and we definitely plan to order again.
We had our food delivered and it arrived within 40 minutes of placing the order, which was great. The food was still hot when it arrived.
Sadly, they forgot to put the fufu in with my order. However, as soon as I called to check on it, they offered to send it to me. Unfortunately they didn’t have in-house delivery drivers, so I placed a small order for more plantains and the ginger drink – and they credited me back over $10, which was more than what I paid for the delivery.
The plantains are cooked to a perfect crispy sweetness and comes with a savory sauce that truly compliments the flavor. The ginger drink was spicy and definitely made with fresh ginger.
. Unfortunately I have no pictures to share because it was too good to wait to take any.
Don’t be shy, try it today
I came here with my colleague for restaurant week, and neither of us left dissatisfied. The restaurant was fairly empty when we got there at noon. The one girl working in the front was busy with to go orders, and she was our waitress. After she took our order, it took a bit over 30 minutes to get our appetizer, and I was starting to think maybe this place wasn’t as good as I’d heard. I was wrong! I’ll happily wait 30 minutes for such profound quality food! Everything was piping hot and seasoned to perfection. We ordered the special, which was Jollof rice and chicken with samosas as the 1st course. My buddy got the gizzards. And we got wings as an appetizer. I don’t need to go into detail, but the layers of flavors blew our minds. Highly recommend
I order vegan, my son loves anything with the goat meat.the flavors are so fresh. I had the mango tomato salad. So refreshing. The fufu is made perfectly enough. We normally go for the take out. Only if we have a large family gathering do we eat there.
We placed our jollof rice order one hour in advance. When we arrived to pick it up, we were told the food wasn’t even started and that we would need to wait another 45 minutes. That means almost TWO HOURS for a pickup order. This is ridiculous.
And this is not new. Every single time we order from here, there is a delay. The last time, we waited almost two full hours. Today was supposed to be different, but it’s the same excuses all over again.
Stop telling customers one thing and then changing the story when they arrive. If the kitchen is behind, be honest about it when the order is placed. Don’t waste people’s time.
What made it worse was the attitude. When we asked for a refund because of the excessive delay, instead of apologizing, the staff argued with us. That is completely unprofessional.
Good food doesn’t make up for terrible time management and poor customer service. Respect your customers’ time.
After four chances, we won’t be coming back.
