If you want good Mexican food in Escalante, look no further.

My husband and I tried:
– Corner Café Smothered Burrito with sirloin strips
– Hiker’s Favorite Quesadilla with sirloin beef strips
– Chips & Dips
– Horchata and Lavender Lemonade

Both of our entrees were good. My personal favorite was the burrito because I loved the sauce. I enjoyed the bean dip, but I wish you could get it with chips without having to add on salsa too. The lavender lemonade was fantastic.

It’s a truck, but they have tables which you can eat at outside. Stop here for lunch and you won’t be disappointed.

I was a little disappointed since the reviews hyped me up for this place. I thought it was a bit pricy for the amount of food. I also thought the grilled tacos and smothered burrito lacked flavor. The beans were pretty solid and the rice also lacked flavor.

I do love this veggie quesadilla!!
CU Saturday for our next try.
Friendly and Tasty. Thanks for having us.
Edit
Second try, shrimp smothered burrito. Again really good. The flan also fine but could be little bigger for 5$. . CU again.
Edit
Third try. Quesadillas with beef. Absolutely recommended. 2morrow again before we head to Las Vegas.

Delicious food and friendly service not much more you can ask for. After a day of hiking the food hit the spot with its fresh taste. Also quite a bit of comfortable outdoor seating is available. It is well worth the stop.

Escalante is known for many things, but food isn’t one of them. We came during off season and everything was closed, which may have ended up being a blessing because we ended up eating at Georgie’s twice! Busy season or otherwise, I would 100% recommend the stop. Fresh, delicious Mexican food AND good coffee. Plus, it’s owned by a lovely couple who will treat you like family. Enjoy!

On your adventures into the rugged and beautiful canyons of Southern Utah, you’ll find a jewel of gastronomy! Unassuming and a little hidden, Georgie’s Outdoor Mexican Cafe food truck/trailer, is worth the drive. As you come into Escalante UT from the West, Georgie’s is tucked just under a big red sign “RV Park” on the right as you enter town. Parking next to the food truck is limited so feel free to park on the street…just watch out for those crazy tourists when crossing the street. If you pass big hotel with a red roof, you’ve gone too far…turn around. There is some seating if you’d like to hang around to eat. Otherwise all the food is packaged in eco- friendly containers and can go with you on the road. Enjoy this desert dining spot once and then find a reason to come back!

We were so surprised at how good our good was. We came into Escalante during off season, most things were closed.
We ordered the Chimichanga and Tacos. Both were so good. Served with rice and beans. And we were served with a smile, and friendly locals all around. This is definitely a must stop when visiting here.

If you’re in Escalante and are a looking for some fast, quality, large portions of mexican food, stop by Georgie’s Outdoor Mexican Cafe. Frank, the owner, overheard our conversation on good activities in the area, and in the most warm and welcoming way gave us years of his local experience and even provided us with some maps and checklists. Great food, great company!

Fresh and tasty options, that little crunch the corn tortilla has is memorable. Grab a t-shirt too. We loved this place, very authentic.
