Bravo to the staff of Eastern 89. I have gone here a few times and its always been delicious food, but especially today (Christmas Eve) I want to give a thanks to them because although the wait time was very long because they were over flooded with orders, it was absolutely worth the wait. I expected that maybe with being so busy, they might forget an item or maybe the food wouldn’t taste as good as it usually does but neither of those things happened. The food was really delicious and the staff is very kind and patient. They are my favorite place to get Chinese food and everyone should give them a try. We got the General Tso chicken, Szechuan Beef, Crab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, Fried Wontons and Shrimp Mei Fun. All of it was perfect. Thank you so much, and good on you for being able to deal with this crazy holiday.

I live 30 minutes away from this location. I got off of work and ordered over $50.00 worth of food. I found hair in my food that my fiancé and two toddler children were eating. I reached out to the business owner and sent photos. The first photo was a LIVE IPhone photo i texted to the woman, she stated that she doesn’t see the hair. So I zoomed in and got accused of drawing the hair on the picture, and then told the quality isn’t clear. As a restaurant owner this was so distasteful and terrible service. I will not be back they do not value loyal customers. Woman was very rude and never once tried to rectify the situation. I will not be back.

I’ve been ordering here for about a year or so now. To help understand my rating, if you’re familiar with Peking Gourmet from 2015-2019 this would rank below it for me personally (they switched ownership this year/last). But overall it’s a solid option in Frederick.
After ordering a few times as well as sitting inside the restaurant as most hole in the walls are. It’s your typical Chinese American restaurant, but with very pleasant and kind staff. They have steak and cheese egg rolls on a board written in store, I highly recommend if you’re into south western egg rolls, bulgogi egg rolls, just different types.
Their website needs some work, so I grabbed a menu and told the owners that I would be posting it to possibly help them as you can’t find one online. They have a solid menu selection. Personally this isn’t my favorite variation of kung pao chicken, but it definitely translates as a healthier version common from many other Chinese restaurants. I normally get steamed dumplings. Orange beef is good. It’s still made with flank steak, not small chunks like some of the other restaurants have switched too. Below in photos though are kung pao, orange chicken, fried dumplings.

if I could give 0 stars, I would. My friend and I ordered from here and there was hair in the food, she reached out to the establishment just for some one to tell her that she was lying and edited a pubic hair into a LIVE PHOTO… 0 professionalism or accountability. They were very very disrespectful, and we aren’t even from the area so we weren’t expecting much of a resolution, just acknowledgment and accountability, so that this does not happen moving forward. Hopefully no one else has to experience this.

Much preferred China Sea, only went here because they were closed. Got a combination platter and there was maybe eight pieces of chicken in it. Didn’t even have the sauces out gave me like two packets of duck sauce for $40 of food. Wouldn’t go back

I’ve had multiple dishes from this restaurant and not a single one has been a disappointment. The owners are very sweet and are wonderful with recommendations.
This has become my favorite chinese restaurant in Frederick and the surrounding area. Give them a try, my favorite dish- Sweet and sour chicken, and an order of veggie spring rolls.

If you want a celery dish get the special Kung Pao Chicken and shrimp. 3 shrimp, 6 tiny pieces of chicken and the rest is mostly celery. The combination fried rice was also poor in meat and the dried, shriveled shrimp are not appetizing. Never going back.

Don’t let the simple decor distract you from the delicious and very reasonably priced food. Can’t get enough of the perfectly seasoned wonton soup, crunchy egg rolls, delicious beef or shrimp egg foyung, and the outstanding Gen Tso chicken. Wish they delivered but the 5 star food, quick service and the lovely folks behind the counter make the drive worth it!

Have come to love this spot – the food is always very fresh, flavor balanced. the crispy beef is a fav – also the spring rolls, and dumplings. Also really love the owners. They are very friendly and kind.
