Found a new favorite steak place…not many know about this place but it has the best steaks in Boise. The meat is very high quality and I ordered medium rare and it came out perfect! Most places over cook but this was a 10 out of 10. Flavor was excellent and even the veggies were good…that’s saying a lot for me! Highly recommend this if you’re looking for top end steak.

Disappointed. Had high hopes for a good steak, especially at those prices. Atmosphere is poor, place was dead, location to blame I’m sure. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Special was 12 Oz Kobe Strip, ordered medium well. Everything looked great, cooked perfect. Took a bite and spit it out. It Tasted like it was spoiled. It smelled weird too. My husband said same for his. Reminded me of meat that sat in fridge too long and turned brown, that rancid smell. Told waitress, she talked to chef, came back and said that it’s grass fed and that’s why it tastes different. I’m sorry, but but living in Texas and Oklahoma my entire life and eating different types of meat, farm raised and all, I’ve never tasted anything like that. They didn’t charge us but we gave them something for the other food that was good and for the trouble.

If (and it’s a big if because it was 21 years ago) this is the place I stopped at on the way home from Yellowstone, then it tied for the best steak of my life (tied with Ross Woods Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach, which hasn’t existed for decades). Smokey, cooked to perfection, the single bite I had of my porterhouse while it was hot was magnificent.
Why only one bite? Because the caesar salad that started the meal was huge and the best salad I’d ever had as well. Follow that with delicious fresh baked rolls (2 I think) and then an enormous and scrumptious Idaho russet with the works, and I was stuffed before I reached the meat. I ate the rest of the steak about 5 hours later in my motel room, moaning with delight and slavering all over my bed.

We dined here for the first time on New Year’s Eve. We called a couple of days before to make reservations and learned that dinner that night was a limited four course (app, salad, entree, desert) menu and cost $40 a plate. We were told they were expecting to have a good size crowd (a table next to us had been told the same thing) yet when we arrived the dining room was less than half full. We were quickly seated and noticed that no one in the dining room was eating a main course, we also noticed that the guests at two of the tables near us were clearly agitated as they had not even been given water yet they had arrived earlier. It quickly became apparent there was only one server. She approached our table to take our order and I advised here the other tables were there first. We then asked if there was only one server and were told “yes”. I told her we would come back another time but the server insisted she could take care of us and put in our order at the same time she but in the order for the table next to us. We saw our server one more time that evening. Eventually some other staff were brought in to refill water, etc. but the damage was done. Several people walked out (to be fair, I think a few didn’t expect the price to be so high) but the regular prices for a steak dinner is approx $30 or more on an average night so good food/service should be expected. Hindsight is we wished we would have left and tried it on a “normal” night but typically “special” nights can be even more of a treat (limited menu = less to screw up) and that is what we were hoping for here. We tried this place with a Groupon and even with the steep discount, it was not worth it. The app was good, the salad very small and watery, my husband make better steaks on his grill, and the “dessert tray” was down from four options to two by the time it was brought to us. Both of the dessert offerings were terrible (very dry/stale tasting) and, seriously, I have had better from an easy bake oven. Instead of being subjected to the two hour dining experience we had here, go to Chandlers or Barbacoa or even the Outback Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse. Overall, we not impressed with any aspect and that is the most disappointing because, based on other reviews, it sounds like at one time this was a good place to dine.

I had a party of 5 on the early evening of May 8, 2017. We waited JUST OVER AN HOUR for our food. THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY; we were the only ones there. After 45 minutes, the waitress/hostess apologized and suggested the delay was to cook the 2 hamburgers ordered well done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, were we supposed to believe this? This was for a milestone birthday, we had more celebrating to do after dinner. We didn’t finish till after 8:00. I would have given this only 2 stars, but the food was wonderful !!!!!!!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! This place was awful. There were 2 tables. We waited 15 minutes for our lettuce with watery ranch (house salad) then the only other table who came in after is received their food before us. We didn’t have time to wait who knows how much longer for what seems like would have been terrible food anyways.

There sign says they are open until 10pm. I called for room service starting at 9pm with no answer or call back after 10 attempts. I walked down to the restaurant at 9:20pm… I waited for someone to appear for about 5 minutes and only 3 tables had customers. The woman looked very upset and said actually we are closed!!. I said well your sign says 10pm, she then said well it’s very busy, are you staying in the hotel??? I said yes and she then said are you from room 145?, I answered no.. she then said oh good because they have been calling and i didn’t answer so I thought maybe you were them. How ridiculous to have her tell me she is closed, she is avoiding other customers… she said I could order if I wanted butni would need to wait until she had time to take my order.. I left. I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant to anyone ever. Worst customer service experience at hotel wanna be restaurant ever… very very dirty also.

Very nice steak. Best I have had in a while. Don’t be deterred by location, or some recent bad reviews. If ambiance is not important but 5 star food and service are, then give this place a try.

Didn’t even know this place existed. Our Party of three were in awe by the service and the food! Our table had Ribeyes and Filet Mignon. Made to perfection and can’t wait to go again. Service was very good.
