We had efficient and friendly services on our quick stop through town. The smash burgers were tasty and we were happy with the variety of fries.
We were slightly confused by the lay out and what we assumed was additional seating was actually the shop next door.
One of my favorite parts is the unique changing table in the bathroom, along with the fact that they provide individual hand towels for drying hands. No waste!
I would probably return if I come through town again.

Not only is this place welcoming, but the atmosphere is great. The servers are generally kind and wanting to make sure that you enjoy your time there and your meal. Always attentive to customers. Needs, especially one you order food. The one thing that makes this place stand out most is the customer service that Angela gives Angela mixed people feel at home like they’re with family.

it’s a nice place, food was ok kinda bland or plane I expected better I’m my mind. beer was really good, price was descent, I had chicken bacon mac n cheese. I added my queso cheese dip to mine an it brought the dish to life.

Hard to go wrong by stopping at Stellar 181 Taphouse. This is a gastro-pub done correctly. Clean, bright and welcoming. Smash burgers, big people mac & cheese, ribeye, loaded up salads, monster bone-in wings, fettuccini Alfredo, pub chips with queso, reubens, chicken sandwiches shaved ribeye Philly and lots more. Service was attentive, friendly & fast. The taps provided a wide variety for everybody’s tastes. The tap selections rotate periodically with a keen eye for excellence. You won’t regret stopping here and decompressing a while. Well done to the owners & staff at Stellar 181 Taphouse, great job! KUDOS!!!

In the area camping and the rain drove me to town for dinner (wet firewood 😉 ). Had the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich and waffle fries with a pint of beer. Dinner was excellent! Will have Steller 181 on my short list of dining opportunities when in the area camping again. Great selection of area craft beers on hand.

5/21/25 This is an addendum to my first review 3 years ago. This crew is even better (didn’t know that was possible after the first trip). The food is excellent. This is not typical bar food. They have everything from an Asian Zing salad to street tacos, to burgers, pastas and more! They have high-end, reasonably priced cocktails like the Chang (coconut vodka, coconut water- not too sweet but a nice tropical, refreshing taste), Moscow mules and over 20 beers on tap!!! Alex makes great conversation and you can tell he cares about the customers! Thanks for many great experiences!!
This place is amazing. Spring valley is a small town and this trifecta of bakery, bar/restaurant, and boutique blow it out of the water! Kerrinn (Corrine- I apologize if I spelled it wrong) and the bartender and cook -Aaron and I forgot the other one because the beers were so good! I had a flight with the peanut butter porter, the Minnesconsin, and the Oreo! They were so good! The Iowa Chop was huge! I ate about 1/3. The asparagus was cooked perfectly! The raspberry sauce was good but I heard there’s an exciting new fall sauce coming soon! The staff is friendly! cool atmosphere! (And who talks about the bathrooms, but wow! This one has a cool touch!) We will be back!

My wife and I stopped in for beer and appetizers, and wow, absolutely blown away! Not your typical bar food. We had pulled pork sliders – honestly, the best I’ve ever had anywhere – and wings, which were smoked, tender and tasty. And the side of pub chips, are you kidding me, so, so good – hot, home-made, hand-carved, thick and crispy potato chips! Nice atmosphere, great selection of tap beer, and wait staff Jill and Shelby were both great at suggesting food options and providing friendly, quick and attentive service. We’ll be back!

The food was very underwhelming, and not a lot of flavor. I don’t suggest the dessert pretzels. The waitress was pleasant but had trouble answering questions about the menu. If you just need somewhere to fill the hole in your stomach, this will do. It wasn’t terrible, just not great.
