Not gonna lie, it was a little warm inside, but better than Asia. Food is great. The lady that served me was so sweet. Prices are decent compared. Portions a little small, but i wasn’t starving. 100% will return

I can’t say enough good things about Happy China in Southlake! They were fast, punctual, and incredibly helpful with a large corporate order. The extra help carrying everything to my car truly made a difference. Service like this is rare—huge thank you to the team for making it such a smooth experience!

Very unpleasant experience. I called and made a to go order and told the lady on the phone that I was on a diet and could only eat broccoli, cabbage and chicken. I ended up going with the black pepper chicken that doesnt have that much sugar and she was very sweet at taking my order but didn’t mention that it would be spicy. It was soo spicy to where it was already burning my stomach with a couple of bites. I have bad heartburn and can’t eat spicy. The black pepper chicken I usually get at the Chinese buffets are not spicy at all and do not have half as much pepper. The chicken was not like chicken at all. It was almost a rubbery feeling and seemed like it wasn’t cooked well. I took it back in to ask them to remake something better….the husband starts screaming in the back which made me feel uncomfortable right away. I told the wife (which was so sweet) that I apologize but I had no idea it was that spicy and that I couldn’t eat food like that due to my stomach problems. She mentioned that she could remake my order and make it with just brown sauce and that it wouldn’t be spicy. I asked her not to put too much chicken this time because I didn’t like it. I then asked to cook the broccoli and cabbage soft and well done. She took my plate back and not even 5 minutes later she brought it out and it had tons of meat still and the cabbage and broccoli was hard as a rock. I can’t eat hard broccoli like that and cabbage. I like my food well cooked. $36 down the drain and im starving still headed back to work. If you get food here make sure you communicate with them well and make sure they cook your food all the way done!

The food was excellent! Hot and fresh. The portions were large.
For two meals & two appetizers the cost was very fair.

Incredible food at great prices! We’ve picked up from Happy China twice. Our order was ready within 20 minutes each time, and the young lady was conversant in English and friendly. The lo mein noodles are thick like they should be. Egg drop soup was yellow and flavorful. Sauces on beef & broccoli and sweet & sour were perfectly savory and tangy. Meat was tender, broccoli was crunchy cooked. Egg roll was delicious. Beats all other Chinese places we’ve had from Valleydale to the Summit.

Food was chewy, stringy, and soggy. If I go to the Chinese restaurant at the Galleria, I get crispy, soft, delicious chicken. I will try my best to remember to never come back here. If this had come with broccoli like most General Tao’s chicken does it would have been a little better, but the chicken was disgusting. Tasted like it had big spots of fat in it too, on top of being stringy, hard, soggy, and chewy.

This is the most delicious Chinese Food in Birmingham. I just went here on my birthday and the food was amazing, well presented, with kind staff. We had the Beef and Broccoli, Chicken with Vegetables and egg drop soup and they are all great. Highly recommend.

Price on menu for dinner combination says 8.95 was charged $12. Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time and small portions. Don’t understand why they have such a high rating. Drenched in sauce which fills the tray.

Stopped by to eat while driving through. I’m a big Mongolian beef fanatic so I try each Chinese place I visit. I really liked theirs though I prefer it more glazed instead of saucy. Lastly I think they’re renovating the dining area so we were unable to sit inside and we sat outside to eat then the kind lady who took our order noticed and offered us water:) great service
