In a town so small you might miss it if you blink, this Mexican restaurant is a true hidden gem! The food is fantastic, and the service is just as good. The made-to-order guacamole is a must-try, fresh and full of flavor.
We came in with a large group, and they handled everything with ease. The food came out hot, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. We honestly didn’t have high expectations at first, but this place completely changed our minds.
If you’re in the area, definitely give them a try! One quick tip Google Maps might take you to the wrong spot, so double-check that you’re headed to the right location.

Coming from out of town after growing up here- I know food isn’t special around here. But wow.. this place shouldn’t be in Aberdeen- it’s fantastic. Fresh guacamole made table side and excellent food all around. Margaritas are strong as well. Highly recommend.

I am from California, and naturally it’s hard to find good Mexican food out here sometimes.
The moment we walked in the door, the staff treated us like royalty, no one ever had a drink ever half full, our food came out lightning fast, and I can’t remember the last time I had a meal so delicious.
I recommend the guacamole, which they make fresh in house, the salsa; which leaves you dying for more, and the queso, which is packed with delicious flavor.
I had the Arrachera and I don’t even like mushrooms most of the time because they never seem to be cooked correctly… At Santo Tequila, that wasn’t a problem, though. They were cooked to perfection and everything on the table was delicious.
The only thing I would keep in mind is the silverware and glassware is a bit heavy. I found it added to the luxurious experience though, and I didn’t mind that at all.
My MIL had the taco salad which was immaculate as well.
The too long, didn’t read is just this: If you’re in Aberdeen, Santo Tequila is a MUST stop!

Dare I say, this is the best food in Aberdeen, SD. Hands down, the BEST.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and I requested the most flavorful recommendation. Quesabirria. They also gave me some spicy salsa. The queso for the chips is very good as well. It was super good and the staff were so attentive. Definitely on my favorite list while coming through Aberdeen.

We stopped by for dinner and had a great time! Food came out in 10 minutes tops and was delicious! We also got the table side guac that came with a fun little show! The bar is stunning and modern, and gives the place a more luxurious feel than most Mexican places. Endless TVs around that had every show or event on you could think of! Definitely worth a stop if you’re looking for a fun place to eat!

Just got back from lunch there, opening day. Some places can have a bit of a rough opening while they get things working smoothly. Santo Tequila has hit the ground running! My wife is from Mexico originally and I’ve spent a few years in New Mexico (not quite the same as Mexican food but similar enough and relevant as I got to eat out at quite a few fancy places there). We moved to Aberdeen from Idaho where there are quite a few good restaurants and I’ve traveled a bit and had some very good food in other parts of the country. Aberdeen has had nothing to really compare with the top pics for Mexican food, until today… I used to drive an hour away when living in Idaho to get some of THE best shrimp tacos ever. I got the shrimp tacos today and I’ll be damned if they weren’t even better! My wife got the tacos Al pastor and was rather upset that they were better than the ones she makes. I value my life so I disagree with her there.
The staff was very friendly and prompt, exactly what you want.
I am extremely excited to try the rest of the menu, I hope Santo Tequila continues to shine, Aberdeen is very lucky to get such quality food, or at least I’m lucky!!

Can’t say enough positive things about Santo Tequila in Aberdeen.
I have been there twice now and both times the service and food have been fantastic.
Now 3 times the food is incredible, today queso steak burrito and was so delicious, fresh guacamole too.

Very quick service! We were seated immediately and our server took our orders timely. I had the Al Pastor street tacos and my husband had the steak blanco fajito burrito. Delicious and full of flavor! Been here a few times and the service is always top notch. Can’t recommend this place enough!
