The place was under staffed for mothers day which made service painfully slow. The food was decent. My steak, while perfectly cooked, arrived room temperature and flavorless, even with dungeness crab piled on top. Avoid sitting near the bar due to the noise from the frozen drink machine.

Came in during lunch time in a Saturday. There was no one to greet or take us to a seat. We wander into the bar and wait a good 10 minutes before anyone comes up to give us a menu. The selection on the menu was good, but the meals we received were not. My husband ordered cod fish and chips. The cod and batter were good but bland, the fries were cold. I ordered shrimp fettuccine, the shrimp was good but the sauce was so thin it was more of a soup. Our server was friendly, but fairly absent through the whole meal.

McGrath’s has gone way downhill. I’ve been there several times over the years and it used to be a great seafood place. After a lunch visit today I will not be going back. Upon entering there was no hostess to seat us. After waiting we were finally seated at a sticky table by an unfriendly server who stank of BO. The flatware cleanliness was questionable. The once favorite giant shrimp cocktail was a mess and the freshness of the shrimp was very doubtful. The speed at which we were served was incredible. The time between shrimp cocktail, salad and entree was about 3 minutes apart even though the place was deserted we felt very rushed. The $12 lunch entrees were tiny. While clean the restrooms lacked any soap for those wishing to wash their hands before they eat. Finally outside in the waiting/smoking area was a homeless person talking to himself and spitting all over the place. Overall a horrible experience and we will not ever be going back

The food is still good, but the service seems to have regressed the last couple of years. We like to sit in the bar during oddball times when it’s not busy. Today we had lunch at 2:30. We were 1 of 2 tables in the whole restaurant, but for some reason it took over 30 minutes to get an Asian Chicken Salad and Clam Strips. On top of that the bartender kept having loud conversations with across the bar with other staff while serving us. My favorite was when I asked her for some butter and she shouted into the kitchen from the bar for someone to bring butter as she was mixing 1 drink.
Not the atmosphere that you would expect from a place like this, but perhaps that’s what it is now. Nice looking place with a tavern staff.

Lunch on a Friday around noon, they only had two servers holding down about 6-7 tables each so service was stretched really thin. Ordered the halibut and chips and the breading tasted like grease, and the fish was flavorless and dry. Bonus star because our waiter was super cool and friendly despite all else.

Perfect chill lunch hour. Sat in the bar for fast service and got it. Had a virgin fruity drink with fruit puree and I believed a splash of lemon lime soda. Super good!!! The crab cake burger with crispy onions was excellent and the fries were good too. Affordable lunch specials and nice atmosphere. Will definition go back.

I came here for dinner with my sister. She ordered seafood pasta, she didn’t care too much for the taste of it. I ordered chicken breasts with some type of sauce; the sauce was very rich & a little to salty for my taste but my side of penne pasta was so bland. Nice atmosphere, our waitress was nice but the food was below average. I don’t know if I’ll try this restaurant again but the first impression wasn’t a good one.
