We went here for dinner primarily because there was no other place in town open. While waiting 30 mins for a table we saw at least 3 parties leave when they were told they had no tables available. Apparently you have to have reservations which is convenient for the restaurant but not patrons. At least half of the tables in the dining room and tavern were open and ready or weren’t cleaned. We wanted the tavern for it’s cozy feel. It was not available for 2 more hours the host said. Service was extremely slow. Beers came about 15 mins after request. One lady canceled her beer after waiting so long they were finished eating. I also waited at bar for a drink for at least 15 mins. The lights in the dining room are way too bright. Overall food was ok. Mashed potatoes were cold and you call this a salad? Probably would not return unless they change some things and add a little more options on menu like more than one steak option. Hire some more enthusiastic staff if you don’t want to keep turning away business income.

We came here and realized that they only offered lunch buffet for this weekend. For the $16.99 per person price, it’s pretty good value for money. The food was not bad with quite a bit of protein options, and I wish they had a bit more veggie or fruit options.

Very pleased with the food quality and price – even for a relatively large group. Presentation was surprisingly nice as well! Service left something to be desired, as the waiter seemed very inexperienced and repeatedly leaned or reached across diners, and asked for us to hand him things while we were eating. But otherwise a good experience.

I was visiting my parents in town and it had been a while since their last visit to Country Inn so at my request we had a late lunch/early dinner. Everything was fantastic. I believe our server was Erin, she was great, very helpful and knowledgeable and I appreciate the affirmations of our order. the pork dumplings were great, firm, full and delicious. The bang bang shrimp was super good, it came with fried spinach, today was my first time trying it and I loved it. The pierogis were KILLER and I couldn’t eat them fast enough. Our blt looked great on the crusty bread and my chicken and biscuits was very tasty.

The tavern area was very cozy and I really dug the hardwood vibe of the bar and our booth area.

I can’t wait to come back and try more of the offerings.

Stopped in to eat at the Country Inn twice while visiting Berkeley Springs. To start, the French Onion Soup is incredible, and I would return just for this dish. Highly recommend to try this an appetizer. During these visits, I tried the Chicken Christy with a side of mashed potatoes and the Pappardelle Pasta with Shrimp and ordered a Caesar Salad with both meals. The Caesar Salad was great. The Chicken Christy was great, though the mashed potatoes were pretty bland and unseasoned. The Pappardelle pasta dish was good, though the shrimp were unfortunately overcooked. That being said, I would return to this restaurant to try other dishes if I am passing through in the future.

We dined here on Saturday. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent.

However, we had mixed feelings about the food. The drunken mushroom was delicious, but it came with too few mushrooms for the $12.99 price tag. The Country Inn Chicken & Biscuits offered a generous portion, but it was a bit too salty for our liking.

On the positive side, the side dishes were all tasty and well-portioned.

We might return when we’re in the area to see if our experience with the food improves.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for a girl’s weekend away and decided to try the Tavern for dinner the first night. At first walking in, our first impression was how adorable it was because it was decorated for Christmas. Although small, it was charming, even though the TV honestly took away from the cute cozy vibes. Service was honestly just okay. She was slow and kept forgetting things and actually took my salad plate away without asking before I was finished. My friend and I shared the pork pot stickers which were slightly cold, but still very good! Unfortunately, she did not like the flatbread pizza she got. I also tried it and was very underwhelmed – the basil insanely overpowered the entire thing. I personally got the Chicken Christy after reading a lot of positive reviews. The thing was packed with flavor!! I would actually get it again, except, the chicken was undercooked and still pink. Our experience wasn’t horrible, but I can’t say I’d recommend or return again.

My husband and I wanted to lunch here, midweek, just shy of noon. We were told they were too busy with take-out orders and there would be a 20-minute wait. We said that was no problem, we would love to sit and have a cup of coffee while we waited for the kitchen to catch up. The host refused to seat us.
We were stunned. The back-up in the kitchen should have in no way prevented us from having a seat in a near-empty dining room and waiting. For a business in the hospitality industry, the lack of hospitality was astounding.

Edit to say we were back in town again and had dinner last night. Heather was our server and she was friendly, funny and efficient! The food and atmosphere were great. All 6 in our group loved it!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner for his birthday tonight. Our server, Andrew was amazing. It was hard to believe he was still in training. I loved that he was very athletically himself! My husband said it some of the best service he’s ever had!! The food was fantastic as well. We had the pork belly app and it was 6/10. Hubby had the steak and was impressed (and that’s hard to do). I had the meatloaf Wellington and it was perfect! 10/10!!!

I have never been in this area before, so I assumed that I’d better get something to eat from some place close as it was around 8pm on a Friday night. I stopped here as it seemed like a good place to eat. As I walked in, the place gave me a historical, captured-in-time place and the Receptionist was very polite in seating me at the bar. Hope was very polite, courteous and professional in her suggestions and service. Her advice was right on point for me as I didn’t want anything too heavy that late in the evening but something tasteful and filling. Great job, great people, and great service!!!! I must stop there again!
